  • Lions' Anthony Firkser: Joins active roster

The Lions signed Firkser to the active roster from the practice squad Wednesday.

Firkser signed with the Lions' practice squad in mid-November and was elevated for their Week 12 win over the Giants. With both Brock Wright (neck) and Sam LaPorta (back) sidelined, Firkser should have a chance to be active for Thursday's game against the Packers.

  • Buccaneers' Benjamin Morrison: Limited practice Wednesday

Morrison (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

Morrison was unavailable for the team's 34-7 loss to the Rams in Week 12 due to a hamstring injury. His ability to practice in any capacity Wednesday is a positive sign, and he'll have two more opportunities to log a full practice before Sunday's contest against Arizona.

  • Frank Ragnow OG | DET

Lions' Frank Ragnow: Coming out of retirement

The Lions reinstated Ragnow (undisclosed) from the reserve/retired list Wednesday.

Ragnow announced his retirement from the NFL during the offseason, and despite him missing training camp, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relays that the veteran center is "in shape and ready to roll sooner, rather than later." Ragnow has since been placed on the exempt/commissioner permission list, and while he's eligible to play in Week 14 against the Cowboys, it's more likely that he'd play in Week 15 against the Rams on Sunday, Dec. 14, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Once he's cleared to play, Ragnow could reclaim his starting spot at center from Graham Glasgow (knee).

  • Buccaneers' Anthony Nelson: No go for practice

Nelson (ribs) was a non-participant at practice Wednesday.

Nelson recorded three total tackles (two solo) in Sunday night's 34-7 loss to the Rams, and he may have picked up a ribs injury in the process. The linebacker will have two more opportunities to practice prior to the team's matchup with the Cardinals on Sunday.

  • Nate Adkins TE | DEN

Broncos' Nate Adkins: No practice to begin week

Adkins (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

Adkins has missed Denver's last three games with the knee issue. He has yet to practice in any capacity since suffering the injury, so there should be significant doubt about his status for Denver's Week 13 matchup against the Commanders.

  • Will Harris SAF | WAS

Commanders' Will Harris: Opens week with full practice

Harris (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Head coach Dan Quinn expressed optimism Tuesday that Harris would be available to play against the Broncos on Sunday. Harris' ability to practice in full Wednesday is a good sign for the veteran safety and puts him on track to be activated from IR ahead of Week 13. His return would likely impact the snap count of Jeremy Reaves, who has started at safety in seven of the Commanders' last eight games.

  • Jamel Dean CB | PIT

Buccaneers' Jamel Dean: Limited to open week

Dean (hip) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

Dean was unable to play in Week 12 against the Rams due to a hip injury, so his ability to practice in any capacity Wednesday is a good sign. The cornerback will have two more chances to log a full practice before Sunday's contest against the Cardinals.

  • Jonah Elliss LB | DEN

Broncos' Jonah Elliss: Logs limited session

Elliss (hamstring) logged a limited practice Wednesday.

Elliss has missed the better part of Denver's last two games with the hamstring injury. He did not practice at all ahead of being inactive for Denver's Week 11 win over the Chiefs, so his limited session Wednesday is a positive step forward.

  • Jalen Pitre SAF | HOU

Texans' Jalen Pitre: Limited at practice

Pitre (concussion) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.

Pitre has missed three games in a row while recovering from a concussion, and he still has to clear concussion protocol. The cornerback will have two more opportunities to practice in full before Sunday's contest against the Colts.

  • Benito Jones DT | LV

Dolphins' Benito Jones: Still dealing with ankle issue

Jones (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Jones suffered the injury during Miami's Week 11 win over the Commanders, though he was able to play through it. That he was able to practice in limited fashion coming out of the team's bye suggests he'll be available for a Week 13 matchup against New Orleans, though Jones' official status may remain unclear until Friday.
