Garrett Williams CB | ARI
Cardinals' Garrett Williams: Limited again
Williams (Achilles) was a limited participant in practice for the second day in a row Thursday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The cornerback tore his Achilles in December of last season, began training camp on the active/PUP list and was activated from the PUP list in late August. While Williams remains limited in practice, he is out there, indicating that he at least has a chance to play Sunday against the Chargers. The 2023 third-round pick recorded 46 tackles (25 solo), five pass breakups, including an interception, and a forced fumble across 10 games in 2025.

Kyle Williams WR | NE
Patriots' Kyle Williams: Not targeted in Week 1
Williams wasn't targeted in the Patriots' 13-10 loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday night.
Williams played 12 of 71 offensive snaps and ran just seven routes on 36 dropbacks by Drake Maye. He played another four snaps on special teams, returning a pair of kicks for 58 yards. With A.J. Brown (ankle) now looking at an extended absence, Williams should see a bigger role on offense behind Romeo Doubs over the next few weeks. The big-play threat will be a name to watch on the waiver wire in fantasy but isn't someone worth adding outside of deep leagues at the moment.

Dadrion Taylor-Demerson SAF | ARI
Cardinals' Dadrion Taylor-Demerson: Misses practice Thursday
Taylor-Demerson (ribs) did not participate in practice Thursday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The safety was a limited participant Wednesday. Taylor-Demerson initially suffered the injury during the preseason. He's moving in the wrong direction ahead of Arizona's Week 1 matchup with the Chargers on Sunday.

Brevyn Spann-Ford TE | DAL
Cowboys' Brevyn Spann-Ford: Inks three-year extension
Spann-Ford signed a three-year extension with the Cowboys on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Spann-Ford has played in all 34 regular-season games with Dallas during his first two NFL seasons and is now set to remain with the club for the foreseeable future. The Minnesota product hasn't been a big part of the Cowboys' passing game, logging only 18 catches during those 34 contests, but he has contributed solid blocking in a rotational role. Spann-Ford should continue to work behind starter Jake Ferguson and alongside fellow reserve Luke Schoonmaker in 2026.

Will Kacmarek TE | MIA
Dolphins' Will Kacmarek: Limited again
Kacmarek (calf) was a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
The tight end emerged from the Dolphins' last preseason game with an undisclosed issue that was eventually revealed to be a calf injury. He appears to still be dealing with it, though he did tell Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald on Wednesday that he expects to play in Miami's season opener Sunday against Las Vegas. The rookie third-round pick is the backup to Greg Dulcich on the depth chart.

Brenen Thompson WR | LAC
Chargers' Brenen Thompson: Tending to hip issue
Thompson (hip) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.
Thompson's injury was previously undisclosed, but it's now known that it's a hip injury that threatens to keep him out of Week 1 action. He'll likely have to practice in full Friday to avoid taking an injury designation going into the weekend.
-
Chris Bell WR | MIA
Dolphins' Chris Bell: Still working on conditioning
Bell estimated Thursday that his conditioning is back to "80 to 85 percent" following last season's torn ACL, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Bell underwent surgery for a clean tear of his ACL last December and isn't on the injury report for Miami's Week 1 game against the Raiders on Sunday, but the rookie wideout is still working back into game shape. While he won't be on a proverbial pitch count against Las Vegas, there's a chance the Dolphins use multiple receivers with some sort of rotation. Bell is listed as a starter, but he's highly unlikely to run 100 percent of the routes Sunday. He could develop into the team's No. 1 wide receiver by the end of the season.
-
Max Klare TE | LAR
Rams' Max Klare: Healthy scratch to begin rookie campaign
Klare (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's season-opener versus San Francisco in Melbourne, Australia, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.
The Rams liked Klare enough to select him in the second round of the NFL Draft in April, but he's not going to be an option for the team in Week 1. Los Angeles has a crowded tight-end room that includes three veterans in Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee and Davis Allen along with second-year pro Terrance Ferguson, so Klare may not log much playing time this year as long as those above him in the pecking order are healthy.

Odafe Oweh LB | WAS
Commanders' Odafe Oweh: Remains limited Thursday
Oweh (calf) was a limited participant at the Commanders' practice Thursday.
Oweh has been limited at back-to-back practices to open the week as he continues to work his way back from a calf injury he suffered in mid-August. The linebacker will have one more chance to log a full session Friday before the team's begins the regular season on the road in Philadelphia on Sunday.
