Keon Coleman WR | BUF
Bills' Keon Coleman: Designated as starter on depth chart
Coleman (foot) is listed as one of three starting receivers on the Bills' unofficial depth chart for Sunday's season opener versus the Texans, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
While DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir are secure as Buffalo's top two wideouts, Coleman appears to be ahead of Joshua Palmer for the No. 3 spot. After averaging 9.8 yards per target as a rookie in 2024, Coleman dropped all the way down to 6.8 per game over 13 regular-season contests during his sophomore season and also drew the ire of the coaching staff for his lack of professionalism, leading to him being a healthy scratch on four occasions. Coleman received a clean slate entering 2026, and after a strong showing during minicamp, he continued to make a positive impression in training camp before spraining his right foot in an Aug. 18 preseason game. The injury doesn't appear to be a long-term concern, and if he can return to full practice at some point this week, Coleman could handle a notable role in the passing game in the season opener.

Chris Bell WR | MIA
Dolphins' Chris Bell: Gets starter listing on depth chart
Bell is listed as one of three starting wide receivers on the Dolphins' unofficial depth chart released in advance of Sunday's season opener versus the Raiders, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Though team-issued depth charts don't always reflect how players will be used, Miami had previously listed Jalen Tolbert alongside Malik Washington and Caleb Douglas rather than Bell. The rookie appears to have shown enough to leapfrog Tolbert in the pecking order, however. After opening training camp on the non-football injury list while he recovered from an ACL tear, Bell was cleared to practice Aug. 17 and made his lone preseason appearance just under two weeks later, reeling in two of five targets for 22 yards. Even if Bell gets the Week 1 start, the Dolphins could still limit his snaps to some degree.

Isaiah Davis RB | NYJ
Jets' Isaiah Davis: Partakes in practice Tuesday
Davis (knee) was spotted participating in drills with the Jets' other running backs during Tuesday's practice, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
Davis' involvement in Tuesday's session bodes well for his chances of playing in Week 1. The 24-year-old sat out all three of the Jets' preseason games while tending to a knee injury, but if he has no setbacks in practice, Davis should serve as the No. 3 back behind Breece Hall (groin) and Braelon Allen in Sunday's season opener at Tennessee.

Josh Palmer WR | BUF
Bills' Joshua Palmer: Outside top three on depth chart
The Bills list all of DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman (foot) ahead of Palmer on their unofficial depth chart for Week 1 posted Tuesday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
During his first season in Buffalo in 2025, Palmer produced a 22-303-0 receiving line on 37 targets over his 12 appearances before missing both of the team's playoff contests due to an ankle injury. Though he was declared fully healthy ahead of training camp, Palmer looks like he may have been surpassed in the pecking order at receiver by Coleman, a 2024 second-round pick who showed promise as a rookie but fell out of favor with the Bills toward the end of the past season. While the Bills retained most of their offensive coaching staff from 2025 with Joe Brady getting promoted from coordinator to head coach after Sean McDermott was dismissed, Coleman appears to be entering the upcoming season with a clean slate and could be prioritized ahead of Palmer, whose need as a vertical threat had already been lessened following the acquisition of Moore.

Devontez Walker WR | BAL
Ravens' Devontez Walker: Sits out Tuesday's practice
Walker didn't participate in Tuesday's practice while tending to an undisclosed injury, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Per Giana Han of TheBaltimoreBanner.com, Walker was in uniform for the practice session, but he was working out to the side and mostly limited to agility work. The Ravens will post their first Week 1 injury report Wednesday, when the nature of Walker's health concern -- as well as the extent of his practice participation -- will be revealed.

MarShawn Lloyd RB | GB
Packers' MarShawn Lloyd: Set to work in committee
Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich suggested Tuesday that Lloyd could be part of a backfield committee to begin the season while Josh Jacobs (personal) remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List, Weston Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. "It's gonna be running back by committee for a little bit to see where everyone is at," Stenavich said. "[Lloyd] definitely has explosive ability, playmaking ability."
Though he profiles as the most enticing fantasy option of a backfield group that includes Kaleb Johnson and Chris Brooks, Lloyd doesn't look like he'll be called upon to handle a workhorse role during Jacobs' absence. While Lloyd made it through training camp and the preseason healthy and flashed his upside as both a ball carrier and pass catcher, durability has not been his string suit in the NFL. The 2024 third-round pick been limited to just one career game on account of multiple soft-tissue injuries, in addition to an emergency appendectomy.

Breece Hall RB | NYJ
Jets' Breece Hall: Involved in Tuesday's practice
Hall (groin) was seen taking part in positional drills during Tuesday's practice, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
The Jets won't release their first injury report of the season until Wednesday, but Hall's activity at Tuesday's session offers hope that he might be listed as a full participant. Though Hall had been limited at practice over the past three weeks while nursing a minor right groin strain, the expectation is that he'll be ready to handle a lead role in the backfield during Sunday's season opener versus the Titans.
-
Kenyon Sadiq TE | NYJ
Jets' Kenyon Sadiq: Involved in positional drills
Sadiq (hernia) was spotted taking part in positional drills during Tuesday's practice, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
The rookie first-round pick missed nearly all of training camp and the preseason after experiencing a setback in his recovery from hernia surgery, but Jets head coach Aaron Glenn had been optimistic over the past week that Sadiq would be ready to go for Week 1 against Tennessee. The extensive time he missed over the summer means that he'll likely have to settle for a small role off the bat, and Mason Taylor looks to be the leading candidate to lead the tight-end group in snaps out of the gate.

Rome Odunze WR | CHI
Bears' Rome Odunze: Won't practice Tuesday
Head coach Ben Johnson said that Odunze (leg) won't practice Tuesday, but the wide receiver is considered "more day-to-day," and the Bears remain optimistic he'll play in Sunday's season opener versus the Panthers, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Johnson didn't provide many specifics regarding the right leg injury that Odunze sustained in a practice last Thursday, though the coach noted that the issue isn't an aggravation of the foot injury that kept the wideout sidelined for the final five games of the 2025 regular season, per Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com. Odunze will still have three more chances to fit in some practice activity before the Bears decide on his status for Sunday's contest, but at this stage, the third-year receiver seems likely to play.

Patrick Mahomes QB | KC
Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Still on track to start opener
Kansas City head coach Andy Reid said Tuesday that Mahomes (knee) has a "pretty good chance" to start next Monday's season opener versus the Broncos, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
Mahomes didn't play in any preseason games, but he was cleared for 11-on-11 work early in camp and steered clear of any setbacks in his recovery from Dec. 15 surgery to repair a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. Kansas City will release its first injury report Thursday, and assuming the star QB is listed as a full participant, it would confirm that he's on track to start against Denver. Mahomes will likely be playing without one of his top protectors, however, as Reid said that starting left tackle Josh Simmons (back) has a "good chance" of sitting out Week 1, per Matt McMullen of the team's official site.
