Gross-Matos (knee/hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Gross-Matos will miss a fourth consecutive game due to knee and hamstring injuries, though he was able to squeeze in a limited practice Thursday that was sandwiched between DNPs, and he'll look to progress enough in his recovery to return for Week 10 against the Rams on Sunday, Nov. 9. With Gross-Matos and Bryce Huff (hamstring) both out and Sam Okuayinonu (knee/hamstring) listed as questionable, the 49ers will turn to Robert Beal and recent acquisition Keion White to serve in larger roles at defensive end alongside starter Mykel Williams.

Huff will miss a second consecutive game due to a hamstring strain that he sustained against the Falcons in Week 7. He hasn't been able to practice since the injury, so he'll look to return in at least a limited capacity ahead of the 49ers' Week 10 NFC West clash against the Rams on Sunday, Nov. 9. Both Huff and Yetur Gross-Matos (knee/hamstring) have been ruled out for Week 9 and Sam Okuayinonu (ankle) is listed as questionable, so the 49ers may have to lean more heavily on Mykel Williams, Robert Beal and recent acquisition Keion White for snaps at defensive end.

Elliott (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Elliott opened the week with back-to-back limited practices before sitting out of Friday's session to recover from an ankle injury he sustained in Week 8 against the Texans. His status for Week 9 may not be officially known until the 49ers announce their list of inactive players Sunday, but his absence would mean that either Alfred Collins or Kevin Givens would start at defensive tackle alongside Kalia Davis.

Winters (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Winters ended the week with back-to-back limited practices to earn the questionable tag for Week 9, and his status for Sunday's game may not be officially known until the 49ers announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Winters is working through a knee injury he sustained against the Texans in Week 8, and if he can't play Sunday, then rookie third-rounder Nick Martin and Curtis Robinson would be the top candidates to start alongside Tatum Bethune and Luke Gifford at linebacker.

Reed (wrist) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

A wrist injury limited Reed's practice participation Wednesday and Thursday, but the veteran defensive tackle earned the questionable tag for Week 9 after logging a full session Friday. His absence would open the door for Mike Morris to see more snaps at defensive end opposite Leonard Williams. Reed's status might not be officially known until the Seahawks announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.

The Jaguars placed Hunter (knee) on injured reserve Friday.

After Hunter was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday with a knee injury, head coach Liam Coen told Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union on Friday that it was non-contact in nature and would result in a stint on IR, per Harvey. Adam Schefter of ESPN then reported later Friday that initial tests on Hunter's knee revealed that his ACL was intact, but the rookie No. 1 overall pick will be evaluated further to determine the extent of the damage, which won't be known until next week. For the time being, Hunter will miss at least the next four games following this transaction, and the Jaguars will proceed with Brian Thomas, Parker Washington, Dyami Brown and Tim Patrick (groin) at wide receiver moving forward.

Thomas (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Raiders after being limited in practice this week.

With Travis Hunter (knee) on IR and slated to miss at least four games, the Jaguars will need all they can get from Thomas in the coming weeks, as he's slated to lead a WR corps that will also features Dyami Brown and Parker Washington. Through seven games, Thomas -- who caught 87 passes for 1,282 yards and 10 TDs as a rookie last season -- has logged a less impressive 27-365-1 line on 55 targets, but as long as he's not hampered too much by the shoulder issue he's currently managing, he should be busy this weekend and beyond.

Young (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

Young injured his hip during the Seahawks' Week 7 win over the Texans, but it's since been reclassified as a quad concern. He wasn't able to practice despite the extra rest courtesy of the Week 8 bye, so the 2022 seventh-rounder will miss his second game of the regular season. Both Young and Jake Bobo (Achilles) have been ruled out for Week 9, and Cooper Kupp (heel/hamstring) is listed as questionable, so the Seahawks likely will elevate at least one wide receiver from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's contest. Ricky White, Cody White, Courtney Jackson and Tyrone Broden are the four options at the position on Seattle's practice squad.

Brown (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Las Vegas.

Brown opened Week 9 prep as limited due to a shoulder issue Wednesday, but full practices Thursday and Friday have cleared him to suit up Sunday, when he'll be without Travis Hunter for the first of at least four contests after the rookie first-round pick was placed on injured reserve following Thursday's non-contact knee injury. Brown's snap share and target count figure to increase for as long as Hunter is sidelined, but he'll still need to contend with Brian Thomas (shoulder), Parker Washington and Tim Patrick (groin) for QB Trevor Lawrence's attention.

Saubert (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

A calf injury prevented Saubert from practicing all week, and his absence for Week 9 gives Nick Kallerup the opportunity for more offensive snaps at tight end behind AJ Barner and Elijah Arroyo. Saubert will aim to return in Week 10 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Nov. 9.
