Wentz completed 15 of 27 passes for 144 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the Vikings' 37-10 loss to the Chargers on Thursday night. He also fumbled once but recovered.

Wentz's final stat line essentially underscores how difficult a night it was for the veteran quarterback against a defense that sacked him five times, as he worked through a painful left (non-throwing) shoulder issue, per Kevin Seifert of ESPN. The 2016 second overall pick finished with a meager 67.5 QB rating and essentially sealed the loss with his one pick, which came at the Chargers' 33-yard line early in the fourth quarter on a pass intended for Justin Jefferson. Wentz certainly has had his moments during his five-game starting tenure, but his days as the top quarterback may be over for the time being because J.J. McCarthy (ankle) should have a chance to return for a Week 9 divisional road clash against the Lions on Sunday, Nov. 2.

Gadsden secured all five targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' 37-10 win over the Vikings on Thursday night.

Gadsden was second to Ladd McConkey in receptions and receiving yards while also tying for runner-up status in targets with Keenan Allen. The rookie tight end added his second career touchdown via an eight-yard scoring grab with just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter. The chemistry between Justin Herbert and Gadsden has spiked in the last three games, a stretch where they've connected for 19 catches, 309 yards and the two scores on 22 targets. Gadsden will aim to carry over the momentum into a favorable Week 9 road clash with the beatable Titans defense on Sunday, Nov. 2.

Jones (hamstring) rushed five times for 15 yards and brought in two of four targets for 15 yards in the Vikings' 37-10 loss to the Chargers on Thursday night.

Jones made his return from a four-game absence and logged one more carry than backfield mate Jordan Mason, but game script significantly limited Minnesota's ability to run a balanced offense. Jones' truncated opportunities Thursday aside, the veteran back is likely to function as the lead back -- even if not by a significant margin -- over Mason moving forward, but another tough matchup awaits in Week 9 on Sunday, Nov. 2 in the form of a trip to the Motor City to face the Lions.

Vidal rushed 23 times for 117 yards and a touchdown and brought in one of two targets for 10 yards in the Chargers' 37-10 win over the Vikings on Thursday night.

Following an impressive Week 6 showing against the Dolphins where Vidal compiled a career-best 124 yards, the 2024 sixth-round pick was stymied by the Colts to the tune of 20 yards on just nine carries Sunday. However, the second-year pro bounced back in spectacular fashion Thursday, averaging just over 5.0 yards per tote while rattling off three runs of double-digit yardage. He also added a three-yard scoring run early in the second quarter for his first NFL touchdown, rounding out his night nicely. Vidal appears fully capable of holding down the fort in the ground attack until Omarion Hampton (IR, ankle) is ready to return, and he could well put together a successful encore on the road in Week 9 when Los Angeles faces the vulnerable Titans on Nov. 2.

Reichard went 1-for-2 on field-goal tries and made his only extra-point attempt in Thursday's 37-10 loss to the Chargers.

Reichard connected on a 54-yard field goal early in the second quarter before later leaving a 53-yard attempt just short ahead of the break. The kicker has now gone 14-for-16 on field-goal tries, including 5-for-7 from 50-plus yards, while making all 13 of his PATs over seven games this season.

Dicker went 3-for-4 on field-goal attempts and made all four of his PATs in Thursday's 37-10 win over the Vikings.

Dicker missed a 49-yard field-goal try wide left in the first quarter before later adding makes from 43, 34 and 45 yards in the second half. The miss was his first of the year on any kick, field goal or extra point, and he's now gone 18-for-19 on field-goal tries over eight games this year.

Jefferson brought in seven of 11 targets for 74 yards in the Vikings' 37-10 loss to the Chargers on Thursday night.

The star wideout was in the familiar position of leading the Vikings in receptions, receiving yards and targets, although that didn't lead to anything beyond just a solid stat line. Jefferson has worked well overall with fill-in signal-caller Carson Wentz over the last five games, recording at least five catches and 74 receiving yards in each of those contests. However, he should be back to operating with J.J. McCarthy (ankle) as his quarterback for a Week 9 road divisional showdown with the Lions on Sunday, Nov. 2, a game Jefferson will take a 41-602-1 line into.

McConkey secured six of 10 targets for 88 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' 37-10 win over the Vikings on Thursday night.

McConkey paced the Chargers across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, and his 27-yard, in-stride touchdown reception just before halftime served as his third scoring grab of the season. After a lackluster four-game stretch between Weeks 2 and 5, McConkey has come alive with a combined 22-255-2 line on 34 targets over the last three contests. The second-year wideout has a good chance of carrying over his momentum into Week 9, as a road date with the vulnerable Titans defense is on tap Sunday, Nov. 2.

Herbert completed 18 of 25 passes for 227 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while adding seven rushes for 62 yards in the Chargers' 37-10 win over the Vikings on Thursday night.

Herbert faced an uphill battle coming in, considering the aggressive tendencies of the Vikings' defense and makeshift nature of his offensive line. However, the sixth-year pro and his teammates performed admirably, heating up starting in the latter portion of the first quarter and clicking from that point forward. Herbert connected with Oronde Gadsden from eight yards out for the first points of the night, and he then launched a beautifully thrown 27-yard scoring strike to Ladd McConkey down the right sideline just before halftime. Herbert capped things off with a six-yard TD toss to rookie Tre' Harris early in the fourth quarter while subsequently leading Los Angeles to another pair of scoring drives that culminated in Cameron Dicker field goals. Herbert now has back-to-back three-touchdown tallies within a span of five days heading into a favorable Week 9 road matchup against the Titans on Sunday, Nov. 2.

Okudah (concussion) has been downgraded to out for the rest of Thursday night's game against the Chargers.

The cornerback was being evaluated for a concussion earlier in the second half. Okudah made one tackle before exiting. Tavierre Thomas and Dwight McGlothern could take over Okudah's rotational role in his absence.
