Smith inked a practice-squad contract with Dallas on Tuesday.

Smith was selected by the Cowboys in the seventh round of April's NFL Draft. He played in all three of the team's preseason games, catching seven of 13 targets for 65 yards. Smith was waived Sunday, but he was quickly brought back to serve as wideout depth on the team's practice squad.

The Broncos signed Prentice to the practice squad Monday.

Despite being released recently, Prentice was expected to be added to Denver's practice squad. The 29-year-old veteran appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Broncos in 2025, so he is a candidate to be elevated at some point during the 2026 campaign.

The Broncos signed Bandy to the practice squad Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Bandy was waived by Denver on Sunday after he failed to make the team's 53-man roster following the conclusion of training camp. However, the San Diego product impressed the coaching staff enough to stick around on the Broncos' practice squad. Marvin Mims is dealing with a foot injury, and if that issue lingers, then Bandy would be a candidate to be elevated to the Broncos' active roster for the team's regular-season opener against the Chiefs on Monday, Sept. 14.

The Bengals signed Milton to the practice squad Monday.

The Bengals waived Milton during Sunday's cutdown day. The running back cleared waivers and has now rejoined the team as a member of the practice squad. Milton was unable to surpass Tahj Brooks or Samaje Perine for a depth position behind Chase Brown, but if any of the rushers on the initial 53-man roster go down, Milton could see an elevation during the regular season.

The Panthers signed Washington to their practice squad Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Washington was unable to earn a roster spot with Carolina after signing with the team last month but is now set to stick around on the practice squad. The 25-year-old has caught just seven passes for 108 yards across 15 career appearances and is unlikely to contribute to the Panthers' offense even if elevated.

The Broncos signed Krull to the practice squad Monday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Krull was unable to beat Dallen Bentley for the fourth tight end spot on the Broncos' 53-man roster, resulting in the former being released Sunday. Krull will stay in Denver on the practice squad and would be a candidate for elevation to the active roster if the Broncos needed game-day depth at tight end. Krull was limited to three regular-season games last year due to a foot injury, finishing with two catches (on four targets) for 15 yards while also contributing on special teams.

Chicago signed Carlson to its practice squad Monday.

The Bears released Carlson on Sunday, opting to keep only three healthy tight ends on their initial 53-man roster for 2026. He appeared in two regular-season games with Chicago in 2025 but did not register any targets.

Abanikanda signed a practice-squad contract with the Cowboys on Tuesday.

Abanikanda was with Dallas during training camp and played in all three of the team's preseason games, rushing 22 times for 91 yards while catching three of four targets for 16 yards. He was cut Sunday but cleared waivers and will stay with the Cowboys as part of the practice squad. Abanikanda hasn't logged a regular-season NFL snap since 2023, when he appeared in six contests for the Jets and rushed 22 times for 70 yards.

Wilson was signed to the Browns' practice squad Monday.

After recently being waived by Cleveland, Wilson will now be brought back as a member of the Browns' practice squad. The 22-year-old finished his final collegiate season at Baylor, where he caught 44 passes for 591 yards and five touchdowns while also playing a prominent role on special teams.

The Browns signed Swingson to the practice squad Tuesday.

Swinson failed to crack the Packers' 53-man roster and was waived by the team Sunday. He'll get a fresh opportunity in Cleveland and would be a candidate for elevation to the active roster if one of Harold Fannin, Blake Whiteheart or Carsen Ryan were to miss time. Swinson has yet to play in an NFL regular-season game since entering the league in May of 2024 as an undrafted free agent.
