Wright was waived by the Texans on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Wright's time in Houston has seemingly come to an end less than a month after he first signed with the team. The 27-year-old will now look to find a new opportunity with another team.

Allen caught his only target for 24 yards in Saturday's 25-16 preseason loss to the Lions.

Having just signed with Indianapolis less than two weeks ago, Allen saw his first game action for his new club and quickly produced a big gain on Anthony Richardson's first pass attempt of the afternoon, helping to set up a field goal. The 34-year-old showed he can still be an effective possession option in 2025 with the Chargers, delivering an 81-777-4 line on 122 targets while playing all 17 regular-season contests.

The Rams placed Caldwell (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Caldwell joined the team as an undrafted free agent in April but is now dealing with an undisclosed injury. The 23-year-old will now be forced to miss the entirety of the upcoming campaign unless he's waived with an injury settlement.

Giddens scored the team's only TD of the game in the second quarter, however, as they both make their final cases to be the No. 2 backfield option behind Jonathan Taylor. The two younger backs had similar athleticism-over-production profiles in college, so they could end up trading the job back and forth during the season based on health and performance.

The Eagles removed Castro-Fields (heel) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Saturday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

Castro-Fields' tenure with the Eagles has come to an end after he first signed with the team's practice squad last October. He will now look to get healthy and catch on with another team.

Giddens carried the ball twice for eight yards and a touchdown and caught his only target for eight yards in Saturday's 25-16 preseason loss to the Lions.

The second-year back scored the Colts' only TD of the afternoon on a six-yard run in the second quarter, bouncing the ball outside the tackle and plowing through a couple defenders to hit paydirt. Giddens didn't make much of an impact as a rookie after being selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Kansas State, but Indy seems content to let him continue his development behind Jonathan Taylor. Seth McGowan got the start in Saturday's preseason finale, however, and may have claimed the No. 2 spot on the depth chart.

The Falcons waived Simon on Saturday, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.

Simon signed a reserve/future deal with the team in January but didn't impress enough to earn a roster spot. The 25-year-old spent last season on Atlanta's practice squad, where he could return should he go unclaimed on waivers.

Leonard completed three of seven passes for 48 yards and an interception in Saturday's 25-16 preseason loss to the Lions. He added three yards on three carries.

Anthony Richardson got the start under center for the Colts and had a quiet but efficient performance before turning the offense over to Leonard in the second quarter. The 2025 sixth-round pick led a TD drive on his first possession, capped by a DJ Giddens six-yard run, but Leonard then made a poor decision trying to avoid pressure and got picked off just outside the red zone the next time Indianapolis had the ball. Saturday's performances didn't do much to clarify who will begin the season as Daniel Jones' backup, with both potential No. 2's having good and bad moments in camp and during the preseason.

Branch returned a punt for 18 yards during the Falcons' 17-12 preseason win over the Dolphins on Friday.

Branch didn't see much action Friday, playing a total of four snaps (three on offense, one on special teams). However, his lone snap on special teams came as a punt returner, and he figures to see plenty of work as a returner in the upcoming season, especially if he doesn't get much playing time on offense behind Drake London, Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus.

Richardson did avoid committing any turnovers, but Saturday's performances didn't do much to clarify who will begin the season as Daniel Jones' backup.
