Baringer picked up an unspecified injury during the Patriots' 24-21 preseason win over the Eagles on Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Baringer punted twice for 91 yards before being pulled from Saturday's exhibition contest with an undisclosed injury, putting him in jeopardy of missing the Patriots' Week 1 clash against the Seahawks on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Matt Haack was signed by the Patriots on Monday to serve as the team's punter in Baringer's absence, per Reiss.

McLachlan (undisclosed) was waived from injured reserve by the 49ers on Monday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

The tight end was waived/injured by the Niners on July 31. McLachlan then revered to injured reserve the next day. He's now free to sign with another team if he can get healthy again soon.

The Texans waived Mapu (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Mapu may have picked up an injury during the Texans' 22-20 preseason loss to the Raiders on Thursday, when he accrued four tackles. The nature of Mapu's injury isn't clear, but if he clears waivers, then he would revert to injured reserve and be forced to sit for the entire 2026 season unless an injury settlement is reached with Houston.

The Texans waived Jackson on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Jackson signed with the Texans in May and caught two passes on as many targets for nine yards across his two preseason outings. Assuming he clears waivers, Jackson will look to catch on with a team in need of a wide receiver who can also contribute on special teams.

Pitsenberger (ankle) reached an injury settlement with the Texans on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

The running back was placed on injured reserve Aug. 15 after suffering an ankle injury in a preseason loss to the Chargers. Now that Pitsenberger has reached a settlement with Houston, he has a chance to play in 2026. Wilson reported that the Yale product is dealing with a "three-week injury."

Hood (quadriceps) is expected to return to practice this week, Paul Schwartz of New York Post reports.

Hood has been dealing with a quadriceps issue at practice over the last week or so, but he now appears to be on the cusp of returning to action. It's unclear if the cornerback will be able to play in Friday's preseason finale versus the Jets, but he is definitely on track to be good to go for Week 1 versus the Cowboys on Sept. 13.

The Lions waived Robichaux (foot) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Robichaux fractured his foot during the Lions' 16-14 preseason loss to the Bengals on Aug. 13. He was set to miss the entire 2026 season after reverting to injured reserve, but the settlement allows Robichaux to sign with a team once he's fully healthy.

Deguara was released by the 49ers on Monday.

The tight end was let go to open a spot for defensive lineman Viliami Fehoko. Deguara joined the Niners in late July after catching three passes for 21 yards and a score with the Cardinals in 2025. The third-round pick of the Packers in 2020 has played more on special teams than offense in each of the last three seasons.

The Eagles signed Mims to a contract Monday.

Mims will join the Eagles for the final week of training camp after being waived by the Vikings on Aug. 12. He's unlikely to make the 53-man roster by the end of training camp, but a strong week of practice and a nice performance in Friday's preseason finale against the Bengals could be enough to convince the Eagles' coaching staff to keep Mims around on the practice squad.

Uzomah announced his retirement from the National Football League on Monday, Jared Goffinet of Fox 19 in Cincinnati reports.

The tight end retired as a Bengal, the team with which he played his first seven seasons in the league. Uzomah's best receiving campaign came in 2021, when he recorded 49 receptions for 593 yards and five scores during the regular season. The 2015 fifth-round pick last saw NFL action in 2024 with Philadelphia, when he made seven regular-season appearances but did not play during the team's postseason run due to an abdominal injury.
