  • Stone Smartt TE | PHI

Jets' Stone Smartt: Five receptions in Week 16

Smartt recorded five catches for 34 yards on five targets in Sunday's 29-6 loss to the Saints.

Smartt took the field for 20 of the Jets' 66 snaps on offense, with his 30 percent snap share placing him behind Jeremy Ruckert (67 percent) and ahead of Jelani Woods (20 percent) among New York tight ends. Though Smartt's five catches ranked first on the team, he's nonetheless likely to see his role in the passing game fade in Week 17 against the Patriots if top tight end Mason Taylor (neck) is able to play following a two-game absence.

  • Arian Smith WR | NYJ

Jets' Arian Smith: No catches in Week 16

Smith failed to haul in his lone target while playing seven of the Jets' 66 snaps on offense in Sunday's 29-6 loss to the Saints.

The rookie fourth-round pick has suited up for each of the Jets' last three games but remains an afterthought on offense. He's played single-digit snaps in each of those contests and owns an unremarkable 6-47-0 receiving line on 13 targets through 14 appearances on the campaign.

  • Shane Zylstra TE | BUF

Lions' Shane Zylstra: Three catches in defeat

Zylstra caught three of five targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 29-24 loss to Pittsburgh.

Zylstra was able to secure his first passes of the year after going catchless in his return to action in Week 15. The tight end saw 20 more snaps on offense (45) than backup Anthony Firkser (25), but Firkser caught all four of his targets for 40 yards. Zylstra and Firkser will likely continue to split the workload at tight end Christmas Day against the Vikings, making both players relatively unappealing from a fantasy perspective.

  • Andrew Beck FB | NYJ

Jets' Andrew Beck: No touches in Week 16

Beck didn't record a target or carry while playing five of the Jets' 66 snaps on offense in Sunday's 29-6 loss to the Saints.

Beck recorded two touches in the Jets' Week 15 loss to the Jaguars, but he wasn't a factor in the box score in Sunday's contest and saw more playing time on special teams than on offense. For the season, the 29-year-old fullback has carried once for five yards to go with five catches for 43 yards and a touchdown on seven targets over 15 appearances.

  • Lions' David Montgomery: Limited workload in loss

Montgomery rushed four times for 14 yards in Sunday's 29-24 loss to the Steelers.

Montgomery played a season-low 13 snaps on offense as Detroit failed to ever get the ground game going in Week 16. The running back failed to reach the end zone for the first time since Week 12, and he now has gone six straight contests without garnering double-digit carries and back-to-back without a catch. Montgomery will look to right the ship Christmas Day versus the Vikings.

  • Cardinals' Garrett Williams: Likely sustained torn Achilles

Williams is feared to have suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday's 26-19 loss to the Falcons, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Williams was carted off the field after suffering a non-contact injury in the first quarter of Sunday's loss. The third-year pro from Syracuse has appeared in 26 games and made 21 starts for the Cardinals over the last two seasons, recording 104 total tackles, 14 passes defensed, including three interceptions, and two forced fumbles. While he's sidelined, expect Kei'Trel Clark to operate as Arizona's top slot corner.

  • Giants' Gunner Olszewski: Limited run on offense in Week 16

Olszewski played just one snap on offense and returned one punt for five yards and three kickoffs for 71 yards in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Vikings.

Making his return to action following a one-game absence due to a concussion, Olszewski wasn't much of a factor on offense but reclaimed his usual duties as the Giants' top punt and kickoff returner. Unless the Giants lose multiple receivers to injury over the final two weeks of the season, Olszewski is likely to continue seeing most of his playing time on special teams.

  • Dalen Cambre WR | NYG

Giants' Dalen Cambre: Plays exclusively on special teams

Cambre played all 11 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Vikings.

The undrafted rookie wideout out of Louisiana has now suited up in five games for the Giants but has yet to draw a target. The Giants continue to deploy him almost exclusively on special teams; he's logged just five snaps on offense this season.

  • Coleman Owen WR | IND

Colts' Coleman Owen: Joins active roster

Owen was elevated from the Colts' practice squad to the active roster Monday.

The 24-year-old has joined the Colts' active roster for the second consecutive game. In the Week 15 loss to the Seahawks, Owen played 10 special-teams snaps while tallying 52 kickoff-return yards and two punt-return yards. He's expected to play a similar role Monday night, likely operating as Indianapolis' top return man.

  • Brett Rypien QB | MIN

    Brett Rypien: Out in Indianapolis

Rypien was waived by the Colts on Monday.

The Boise State product joined the Colts' practice squad in mid-October, but it now appears the team has decided to move in another direction. Rypien appeared in two regular-season games for the Rams in 2023, completing 18 of 38 pass attempts for 172 yards, one interception and no touchdowns. In a corresponding move, Indianapolis activated DeForest Buckner off its injured-reserve list Monday.
