Making good on his long-standing pledge to be available for Monday night's game following last December's season-ending knee injury, Mahomes endured a cold start from a statistical standpoint while completing only two of his first 10 passes. However, the two-time regular-season MVP capped off Kansas City's first drive of the season with a 15-yard touchdown run that allayed any fears about his health, and which he punctuated with a dive into the end zone. Mahomes also picked up the pace through the air after his ragged start, and he ended up connecting with Rashee Rice (13 yards) and Kenneth Walker (two yards) for his pair of scoring tosses. The one major blemish on the veteran signal-caller's night came when he air-mailed a pass into the middle of the field early in the second half that was picked off by Brandon Jones at the Chiefs' 29-yard line and set up a Denver field goal. Now with a solid victory over a talented division rival under his belt, Mahomes and the Chiefs head into a Week 2 home matchup against the Colts on Sunday night with plenty of momentum.

Schwesinger finished with 10 tackles (three solo), including one for a loss, in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Jaguars.

It was not the best day for the Cleveland defense, but its middle linebacker again was all over the field. Schwesinger won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2025 after recording 156 tackles (67 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and three pass breakups, including two interceptions.

Sutton secured two of five targets for 11 yards in the Broncos' 31-10 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.

Sutton, along with the rest of the Broncos offense, endured a miserable night, and the veteran receiver tied for the second-fewest receptions and third-fewest yards among Denver pass catchers to record at least one grab. Sutton also was the intended receiver on Bo Nix's early-game interception, making it an all-around throwaway season-opening performance. Sutton's first chance to atone comes in Denver's Week 2 home opener Sunday, which sees a talented Jaguars team come into the Mile High City.

Harvey rushed three times for 18 yards, brought in all four targets for 23 yards and returned four kickoffs for 111 yards in the Broncos' 31-10 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.

Harvey saw an uptick in opportunities as a pass catcher due to game script, one that saw the Broncos fall behind by a 24-10 margin late in the third quarter. The second-year back also was efficient with his trio of carries, which were five fewer than those logged by lead runner J.K. Dobbins. Harvey should have a chance for more opportunities on the ground in most games this season, including a Week 2 home matchup against the Jaguars on Sunday where Denver's offense will have a higher probability of running a more balanced attack.

Williams reverted to the Buccaneers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Williams saw five special-teams snaps in Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Bengals, returning one kickoff for 47 yards. Williams' one explosive play may be enough to merit another elevation if the Buccaneers still require depth at returner for the Week 2 game against the Browns.

Dobbins rushed eight times for 36 yards and wasn't targeted in the Broncos' 31-10 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.

The highlight of Dobbins' relatively unremarkable night came early in the third quarter, when he changed direction shortly after taking the handoff and rumbled around left end for a 17-yard gain. The veteran back otherwise found running room difficult to come by against a dominant Chiefs defense, and Dobbins' rushing opportunities were notably limited overall due to game script. There will be much more cohesive offensive performances for the Broncos this season, and Dobbins should be in line for a bigger workload during Denver's home opener Week 2 against the Jaguars.

Covey reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Covey saw six special-teams snaps the Eagles' win over the Commanders on Sunday, returning four punts for 37 yards. While Covey's average of 9.3 yards per punt return was impressive, it remains to be seen if he'll be elevated for a Week 2 road matchup against the Titans.

Rice brought in both targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 31-10 win over the Broncos on Monday night.

Rice was on the receiving end of Patrick Mahomes' first touchdown pass of the season, doing all the work on a 13-yard scoring grab off a wide-receiver screen late in the first half that saw him break multiple tackles. Rice was quiet otherwise, but he did deliver excellent downfield blocking on Travis Kelce's game-long 59-yard catch in the third quarter. Mahomes connected on just five occasions with Rice and fellow starting wideout Xavier Worthy on Monday night, but that volume could certainly increase in a favorable Week 2 home matchup Sunday night against a Colts defense that was exposed in every facet by the Ravens in Week 1.

Berrios reverted to the Giants' practice squad Monday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.

The wide receiver saw action on 12 offensive snaps and six special-teams snaps in New York's 28-20 win over Dallas on Sunday night, making two fair catches on punts and returning one kickoff for 28 yards. He was elevated for the game primarily to serve as a return specialist. It remains to be seen if Berrios will stay in that role, though he's filled it consistently across an eight-year NFL career.

Waddle brought in one of three targets for two yards in the Broncos' 31-10 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.

Waddle's regular-season Broncos debut was as miserable as his final line suggests, as the prominent offseason addition finished last in receptions and yards among Denver players that recorded at least one catch. One of the two targets Waddle couldn't corral was a key third-down drop early in the third quarter, although he was hardly the only underwhelming component of a pass-catching corps that produced a modest 131 total receiving yards. More productive performances are surely ahead for Waddle and the Broncos' air attack, with the first opportunity for atonement coming in a Week 2 home showdown against the Jaguars on Sunday.
