  • Lions' Trayveon Williams: Signs with Detroit

The Lions signed Williams to a contract Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

With Jacob Saylors (ankle) and Kye Robichaux (foot) both suffering lower-leg injuries, the running back depth for the Lions has taken a significant hit since Thursday. Williams was likely signed to bolster the preseason corps. The 28-year-old played in three regular-season games for the Chargers last year, playing 56 total snaps and rushing three times for a loss of one yard.

  • Kye Robichaux RB | DET

Lions' Kye Robichaux: Potential broken foot

Robichaux (foot) may have a broken bone in his foot, Ben Raven of MLive.com reports.

Robichaux suffered the injury during Thursday night's preseason opener against the Bengals. If the running back did suffer a broken bone, he would likely miss a significant period of time and could be a candidate for season-ending injured reserve. With Robichaux not having much hope to make the 53-man roster, a broken bone should all but seal his fate.

  • Jacob Saylors RB | DET

Lions' Jacob Saylors: Day-to-day with ankle issue

Saylors (ankle) could return to practice in "a day or two," Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports.

Saylors likely picked up the issue in Thursday's preseason opener against the Bengals. The running back is set to be the starting kick returner for the Lions this season, so healing completely from the issue takes priority over preseason action. Saylors played just nine offensive snaps over 16 regular-season games in 2025 compared to 281 special-teams snaps.

  • Texans' Josh Pitsenberger: Placed on injured reserve

The Texans placed Pitsenberger (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday.

Pitsenberger suffered an ankle injury in Friday's preseason loss to the Chargers. The running back was set to be sidelined for at least a few weeks but will now miss the entirety of the 2026 season. The only way Pitsenberger could play in 2026 is if he is waived with an injury settlement.

  • Jamal Adams LB | MIN

Vikings' Jamal Adams: Carted off with injury

Adams (undisclosed) was carted to the locker room during the second quarter of Saturday's preseason game against the Giants, Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Adams appeared to suffer the injury early in the second quarter on the same play that Jaxson Dart found Malachi Fields for a 15-yard touchdown pass. Adams was initially evaluated by medical staff in the blue medical tent but has since been carted to the locker room, where he'll undergo further tests to determine the nature and severity of his injury.

  • Graham Mertz QB | HOU

Texans' Graham Mertz: Moved to IR

The Texans placed Mertz (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.

Mertz suffered a torn ACL during Thursday's preseason opener against the Chargers. The quarterback's season is over, so a move to injured reserve is not surprising. The Texans signed Brett Rypien in a corresponding move.

  • Jack Endries TE | CIN

Bengals' Jack Endries: Catches touchdown in preseason debut

Endries caught a 17-yard touchdown reception from Joe Flacco in Thursday's preseason opener against the Lions. He's competing with veteran Tanner Hudson for a roster spot, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports.

This is a roster battle for the fourth tight-end spot, so the stakes are pretty low for fantasy purposes. Endries gets points for athleticism and pass-catching ability, whereas Hudson is more of a reliable veteran that knows the system well. At any rate, either tight end would fall behind Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample and Erick All on the Bengals' depth chart.

  • Brett Rypien QB | HOU

Texans' Brett Rypien: Signs with Houston

The Texans signed Rypien to a contract Saturday.

With Graham Mertz (knee) being moved to season-ending injured reserve, the Texans were looking for another quarterback to bolster depth at the position. Rypien played in one regular-season game for the Bengals in 2025, taking just three offensive snaps. The quarterback will slot behind C.J. Stroud and Davis Mills as an emergency option.

  • Jaxson Dart QB | NYG

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Returns to field after brief exit

Dart (undisclosed) was cleared to return to Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.

Dart was briefly evaluated in the blue medical tent after taking a bit hit from Jay Ward. It was a quick check by trainers, as Dart was given the green light to return and proceeded to throw a 15-yard touchdown pass to rookie Malachi Fields.

  • Derrick Brown DT | CAR

Panthers' Derrick Brown: Not playing Saturday

Brown (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Bills, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.

Brown's knee soreness has become a persistent issue. The Panthers will likely give the defensive end as much time as he needs, as the team cannot afford to lose another starting defensive lineman. Nic Scourton's (knee) season-ending injury still looms over the unit, so any additional injuries will be a big dent to the team's depth.
