The Falcons cut Thompkins on Monday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.

Antonio Hamilton CB | WAS
Commanders' Antonio Hamilton: Staying with Washington
The Commanders signed Hamilton on Monday.
Hamilton played 15 games for the Commanders in 2025, totaling 18 tackles (12 solo) and two passes defensed. The cornerback was a consistent special teams contributor who was also called upon as a defensive depth piece late in the season. His consistency and versatility have earned him another year with the Commanders as the team looks to contend for the NFC East title.

Noah Short: Let go by Buccaneers
The Buccaneers waived undrafted free agent Short on Monday, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.
Short participated in the Buccaneers' rookie minicamp this weekend, but it appears his skill set will not be retained. With the signing of wide receiver Dean Patterson after rookie minicamp, it's clear the team is headed in a different direction to address wide receiver depth concerns ahead of the 2026 regular season.

The Buccaneers waived Wright on Monday, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.
Wright played in three games for the Buccaneers in 2025, contributing six yards on three rushes and 73 yards as a kick returner. The running back signed a reserve/future contract with the team in early January, but it looks like he will not be making it to training camp and will likely find himself back on a practice squad ahead of the 2026 regular season.

Michael Danna LB | BUF
Bills' Mike Danna: Signs with Buffalo
The Bills signed Danna on Monday.
Danna was released by the Chiefs in late February to clear cap space as the team prepared for the 2026 offseason. The 2026 Bills defense will be switching to a 3-4 front under new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard, and the acquisition of Danna will add further depth to the team's outside linebacker group.
