  • Buccaneers' Tristan Wirfs: Returns to practice

Wirfs (toe) practiced in limited fashion Wednesday.

Wirfs was held out of the Buccaneers' Week 17 loss and then was estimated to have not practiced Tuesday. However, he took a step forward Wednesday and seemingly has a chance to return for Tampa Bay's pivotal Week 18 matchup against the Panthers.

  • Luke Newman OG | CHI

Bears' Luke Newman: Avoids injury report

Newman was not listed on Wednesday's estimated practice report.

Newman was activated from injured reserve ahead of Chicago's Week 17 loss to the 49ers, but he was still inactive for the contest. He should be ready to suit up while serving as a reserve guard in Week 18 against the Lions.

  • Ozzy Trapilo OT | CHI

Bears' Ozzy Trapilo: Limited to begin week

Trapilo (knee/quad) was estimated to be a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Trapilo has taken over at left tackle since Week 12 but seems to have picked up a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. The fact that he was estimated to have practiced at all still bodes well for his ability to play in Week 18 against the Lions.

  • Sam Kamara LB | CLE

Browns' Sam Kamara: Practices fully Wednesday

Kamara was not listed on Wednesday's injury report.

Kamara has missed the Browns' last two games with an elbow injury. He should return to a rotational role along Cleveland's defensive line in Week 18 against the Bengals.

  • Josh Woods LB | ATL

Falcons' Josh Woods: Returns to team

Woods (personal) did not have a designation in Wednesday's estimated practice report, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Woods missed Atlanta's upset win in Week 17 due to a personal matter. His absence from the injury report suggests he'll be back in Week 18 against the Saints and should play almost entirely on special teams.

  • Mike Ford CB | ATL

Falcons' Mike Ford: No designation to begin week

Ford was not listed in Wednesday's estimated practice report, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Ford suffered an ankle injury in Monday's win over the Rams and did not return. However, the issue won't jeopardize his status for Atlanta's Week 18 matchup against the Saints, and he should retain his significant role on special teams.

  • Lane Johnson OT | PHI

    Eagles' Lane Johnson: Still sitting

Johnson (foot) was listed as having not practiced in Wednesday's walkthrough.

Johnson has not played since Week 11 while dealing with a Lisfranc sprain. With the Eagles potentially set to rest many of their key players in Week 18, it would be a surprise to see Johnson return to the field Sunday against the Commanders.

  • Eagles' Michael Carter: Back with team

Carter did not have a designation for Wednesday's walkthrough practice.

Carter was away from the team due to a personal matter in Week 17, but he's set to be back in action for the regular-season finale. He's played primarily on special teams since being traded to Philadelphia.

  • Giants' Joshua Ezeudu: Won't return in Week 18

Ezeudu (calf) was not activated from injured reserve Wednesday and his practice period expired, per the NFL transaction log.

Ezeudu has practiced in full for the last couple of weeks, but the Giants will keep him sidelined with nothing to play for in Week 18. He was unable to suit up at all in the 2025 season after suffering a calf injury during training camp.

  • Raiders' Kolton Miller: Done for 2025

Miller (ankle) was not activated from injured reserve Wednesday and his practice window expired, per the NFL transaction log.

Miller been listed as a limited practice participant for the entirety of the last three weeks, though he apparently couldn't get back into game shape. His 2025 season is now over, but he should have a relatively normal offseason given his ability to practice for the last few weeks.
