  • Josh Johnson QB | CIN

Josh Johnson: Reverts to practice squad

Johnson reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Johnson was elevated for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Texans as a contingency plan in the event Joe Burrow was forced to sit out with a back injury. Burrow played and Johnson was declared inactive for the contest. Johnson is eligible to be elevated two more times before he must be signed to the active roster to participate in games.

  • Chargers' Dalvin Tomlinson: Expected to miss time

Tomlinson is in line to miss time after sustaining a hamstring injury during Sunday's game versus the Raiders, Noah Furtado of The Athletic reports.

The precise severity of Tomlinson's injury is still not being reported, and he has avoided being placed on IR as of Monday. However, it appears he'll probably have to sit out at least one game, which could mean increased snaps for Teair Tart.

  • Chargers' Kayode Awosika: Set to miss time

Awosika is expected to miss time after injuring his fibula during Sunday's game versus the Raiders, Noah Furtado of The Athletic reports.

Awosika hasn't been placed on IR as of Monday, but it sounds likely he'll have to miss at least one game with the injury he picked up in Week 2. Trevor Penning currently projects to step in at guard until Awosika is available again.

  • Darius Slayton WR | IND

Colts' Darius Slayton: Linking up with Colts

Slayton agreed to a contract Monday with the Colts, Tom Pelissero of Netflix reports.

Slayton spent his first seven seasons with the Giants before he was cut Sept. 7. He posted a 50-770-4 receiving line across 17 games in 2023 but fell below 600 receiving yards in each of the subsequent two campaigns. The Colts will bring Slayton aboard to bolster their depth at receiver after Alec Pierce was diagnosed with a left heel issue that will sideline him for several weeks. Slayton could thus take on a significant role with his new squad, with Josh Downs, Keenan Allen, Ashton Dulin (ankle), Laquon Treadwell and Deion Burks making up the remainder of Indianapolis' receiving corps.

  • Malik Nabers WR | NYG

Giants' Malik Nabers: Returns to Monday's contest

Nabers (shoulder) returned to Monday's game against the Rams in the second quarter, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.

Nabers left Monday's contest at the end of the first quarter in significant pain and was even deemed questionable to return by the Giants, but he was able to shake off the shoulder issue and return to the contest.

  • Packers' Anthony Campbell: DNP with ankle injury

Campbell (ankle) was listed as a non-participant in Monday's estimated practice report, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Campbell exited the Sunday overtime win against the Jets early. The reserve defensive lineman for the Packers was unable to return to the game due to an ankle injury and was projected to have been unable to practice Monday had Green Bay held an official session. The 26-year-old will need to upgrade his participation level by Wednesday for any chance to suit up in Thursday night's game against the Falcons.

  • Alec Pierce WR | IND

Colts' Alec Pierce: Bypassing surgery, out 'several' weeks

Pierce will try to rehab his injured left heel without surgery and is expected to miss several weeks before potentially returning around midseason if all goes well, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Pierce had surgery on the same heel/ankle in late March and was a spectator for most of training camp and the preseason, though he was cleared to play Week 1 of the regular season. The wideout then aggravated the issue in the second quarter of Sunday's 33-30 overtime loss to Kansas City. Though X-rays were returned negative, Pierce is dealing with enough of a setback that he'll have to miss extended time and could end up on injured reserve. Indianapolis signed veteran receiver Darius Slayton on Monday to help boost the team's wideout corps, per Tom Pelissero of Netflix.

  • Packers' Donovan Jennings: DNP Monday

Jennings (hand) did not participate in Monday's estimated practice, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Jennings suffered a hand injury in Sunday's overtime win over the Jets. The reserve offensive lineman for the Packers likely won't suit up for Thursday's game against the Falcons unless he can rapidly recover from the injury.

  • Jawaan Taylor OT | ATL

Falcons' Jawaan Taylor: Estimated as limited participant Monday

Taylor (ribs) was listed as limited on the Falcons' estimated injury report Monday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.

Taylor sustained a rib injury during the second half of Atlanta's loss in Week 2, and now his availability for Week 3 is up in the air. He'll have two chances to practice before the Falcons publish their last injury report of the week Wednesday ahead of Thursday night's game against the Packers.

  • Packers' Benjamin St-Juste: Full participant during estimated practice

St-Juste (hamstring) was a full participant in Monday's estimated practice, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

St-Juste was unable to suit up for the Packers' 20-17 overtime win over the Jets on Sunday. The cornerback suffered a hamstring injury during Friday's practice but appears to have recovered enough to start practicing in full in ahead of Thursday's game against the Falcons.
