Johnson scored a goal and added a fighting major in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Sharks. Johnson was busy in the first two minutes of the game, scoring the opening goal and fighting Givani Smith. This was Johnson's first game back in the lineup after being a healthy scratch for three contests. He took Jamie Drysdale's (upper body) place in the lineup, though Johnson may return to the press box once Cam York (upper body) is cleared to play. Through 11 appearances, Johnson has two points, four shots on net, 19 hits, eight blocked shots and nine PIM.

Johnson logged an assist and two PIM in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Flames. Johnson's assist came on a shorthanded tally by Travis Konecny in the second period. The 36-year-old Johnson appears to have the trust of head coach John Tortorella in a third-pairing role. Last season, Johnson managed just six points over 67 regular-season games between Buffalo and Philadelphia, though he also had 143 hits and 97 blocked shots. The veteran defenseman will play a limited role in 2024-25 and does not need to be tracked closely in fantasy.

Johnson signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Flyers on Monday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Johnson chipped in five goals, one assist, 60 shots on net, 97 blocked shots and 143 hits in 67 regular-season games between Philadelphia and Buffalo in 2023-24. He will probably occupy a depth spot on the Flyers' blue line in the upcoming campaign.

Johnson scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Capitals. Johnson got the Flyers on the board midway through the second period, tipping an Egor Zamula shot past Charlie Lindgren to tie the game 1-1. The 36-year-old Johnson picked up two goals and three points in the last four games of the campaign after going scoreless in his first 13 contests with the Flyers. Johnson will wrap up the season with five goals and six points across 67 games between the Flyers and Sabres.

Johnson (illness) will be in the lineup versus Tampa Bay on Saturday, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Johnson last played with the Sabres on Feb. 27, sitting out five straight games. The 35-year-old blueliner is now poised to make his debut with Philadelphia after he was dealt before Friday's deadline. Johnson has three goals, 68 blocked shots and 93 hits in 50 games this season. He'll likely skate alongside Ronnie Attard on the Flyers' third pairing.
