Kane scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Penguins. The veteran winger gave Detroit a 2-0 lead early in the second period with a slick one-timer, then helped set up Simon Edvinsson for the OT winner. Kane had just one helper over the prior five games, but on the season he's collected a respectable three goals and 10 points in 15 contests. Half of that production -- two goals and three assists -- has come with the man advantage.

Kane posted a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Sabres. Kane has three assists over his last four games, but he hasn't netted a goal in that span. The 35-year-old winger is looking pretty good early on with eight points (four on the power play), 18 shots on net, four PIM and a minus-4 rating through 11 appearances. Kane and Lucas Raymond have often bounced between the first and second lines, but both play on the top power-play unit and should continue to see steady ice time.

Kane had a three-game point streak snapped versus Buffalo on Saturday, but it didn't take long for the 35-year-old to reacquaint himself with the scoresheet. The three-time Stanley Cup champion has been productive early on in the season, compiling seven points through nine games. Kane remains a critical aspect of Detroit's offense as he fills a top-six role and spot on the No. 1 power-play unit.

It was the left-shot winger's first multi-point effort of the season, and he's found the scoresheet in three consecutive games. The 35-year-old has generated five points (two goals) over seven outings to start the 2024-25 campaign. Kane will attempt to extend his point streak to four against Buffalo on Saturday.
