Stralman signed a one-year contract with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League on Saturday, according to Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal. Stralman played in only eight games with the Bruins in 2022-23 before they sent him to AHL Providence at the end of November. He had four assists in 17 AHL games. The 36-year-old will likely finish his career in his native Sweden.

Stralman was placed on waivers Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Stralman has been credited with three shots on goal, 10 blocks and 12 hits in eight games with Boston this season. Derek Forbort (finger) is close to a return to the lineup, so Stralman could be on his way to the AHL.

Stralman (not injury related) is expected to be a healthy scratch Tuesday night against Dallas, NHL.com reports. Stralman had been dealing with a work visa issue, but NESN reported that was settled last Friday. Stralman appears to be an extra right now but has been working in practices to make himself an option when called upon to play.

Stralman (not injury related) is doubtful Saturday against the Wild, Matt Porter of The Boston Globe reports. Stralman saw action Tuesday in Ottawa and then was initally unable to return to the States due to visa issues. Coach Jim Montgomery wants Stralman to get in more practices before getting back into the lineup. Jakub Zboril will likely remain in the lineup until Stralman is able to return.

Stralman won't be with the team to face Anaheim on Thursday as he is still dealing with visa issues, Conor Ryan of MassLive.com reports. Stralman was apparently able to play when the Bruins were in Canada to play the Senators on Tuesday but is still working to resolve a visa issue within the United States and remained in Ottawa. Even if Stralman was available, he may have been a healthy scratch anyway with the return of Matt Grzelcyk (shoulder) from injured reserve.
