Wedgewood signed a two-year, $3 million contract with Nashville on Monday. Wedgewood posted a 16-7-5 record with a 2.85 GAA and an .899 save percentage in 32 regular-season appearances with Dallas in 2023-24. As a member of the Predators, he will serve as Juuse Saros' backup.

Wedgewood made 14 saves in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Chicago. All three goals the 31-year-old netminder allowed came in the second period, and they were scored before Dallas had even gotten on the board. It's Wedgewood's first regulation loss since Feb. 20, and over five outings in March, he's posted a 2.20 GAA despite a .900 save percentage thanks to the Stars' stingy defense -- he hasn't faced 30 or more shots in a game in two months.

Outside of a frenetic second period that saw each team score three goals, Wedgewood did a fine job under a light workload. He's won his last three results while allowing seven goals across four games in that span. For the season, the 31-year-old is 16-6-5 with a 2.84 GAA and a .901 save percentage as Jake Oettinger's understudy. Expect Oettinger to be back between the pipes Thursday in Vancouver.
