Forbort (knee) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, per the NHL media site. Forbort hasn't played since Nov. 2 and is out indefinitely. He has one assist, three shots on net and five blocked shots while being limited to four appearances this season. Noah Juulsen and Vincent Desharnais have been in and out of the lineup during Forbort's absence.

Forbort is expected to be sidelined for weeks, possibly as long as a month, due to a knee injury, Freelance reporter Irfaan Gaffar reports Wednesday. Due to a personal matter and his knee problem, Forbort has played in just one of the Canucks' last eight contests. Now, the veteran blueliner is slated to miss as much as a month of action. Given his timeline, it wouldn't be a shock to see the Minnesota native placed on long-term injured reserve in the coming days. Erik Brannstrom should see the bulk of the minutes on the third pairing in Forbort's absence, though Noah Juulsen could also be in the mix.

Forbort (undisclosed) won't be available to play Tuesday against Anaheim and is being evaluated for an injury, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. Forbort left Monday's practice early in some discomfort. He has one assist, three shots on goal, five blocked shots and one hit in four appearances this season. Due to Forbort's absence, Vincent Desharnais will probably play versus the Ducks.

Forbort (personal) is ready to rejoin the Canucks, Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK reported Thursday. Forbort has been away from the Canucks for the last week. The defenseman has missed the last three games and has one assist in three appearances this season. Vancouver sent Erik Brannstrom to the AHL earlier in the day and Forbort is expected to take his place in the lineup when Pittsburgh comes to town Saturday.

Forbort has left the Canucks for personal reasons, the team announced Thursday. Forbort will likely miss the remainder of Vancouver's road trip, keeping him out the next three games. In his stead, Vincent Desharnais should step into the lineup on the third pairing, while Erik Brannstrom has been elevated from the minors in order to provide blue-line depth if needed.
