Vasilevskiy made 28 saves in a 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. The game was tighter than the score; the Bolts scored into an empty net to seal the win. Vasilevskiy has won two straight and four of his last five, and he now sits with a 14-9-1 record, 2.44 GAA and .910 save percentage. We love his game, but we don't love his lack of a safety net, and both the Bolts and fantasy managers may eventually pay for that. Vasilevskiy has started 24 of the Bolts' 29 games, in large part because the team doesn't trust backup Jonas Johansson. The team needs to do something to ensure Vasy isn't exhausted by this workload.

Vasilevskiy was the first goalie off the ice Tuesday, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports, indicating he'll tend the twine at home against Columbus. Vasilevskiy comes into Tuesday's matchup with some extra rest after getting the night off versus the Kraken on Saturday. In his last five outings, the 30-year-old backstop went 3-2-0 with a 2.45 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Even with his recent inconsistencies. Vasilevskiy should continue to see the majority of the start for the Lightning ahead of Jonas Johansson.

Vasilevskiy stopped 19 of 22 shots in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Flames. Vasilevskiy wasn't great in this game, but he didn't have to be behind another massive showing from his offense. This was the third time in the last eight contests the Lightning have put up an eight-spot. Vasilevskiy is now 13-9-1 with a 2.41 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 23 appearances. This was his fifth start in a row, and he hasn't played in more than that many consecutive games this year. It's possible Jonas Johansson will be called upon for the Lightning's road-trip finale Saturday in Seattle, though the team has not officially announced its plans one way or the other.

Vasilevskiy will defend the visiting crease in Calgary on Thursday, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports. Vasilevskiy will play in his 500th NHL game, becoming the 83rd goaltender in NHL history to hit the mark. He is 12-9-1 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.39 GAA and a .910 save percentage in 22 games this season, making everyone forget about his injury-filled season in 2023-24, when he had a 2.90 GAA and a .900 save percentage across 52 appearances. The Flames are 26th in league scoring, averaging 2.59 goals per game in 2024-25.

Vasilevskiy stopped 23 of 25 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Oilers. The 30-year-old Russian netminder couldn't do anything to deny Connor McDavid's first-period goal, and Vasilevskiy was a victim of an unfortunate situation in the sequence that led to the game-winning goal in the second period. He denied a breakaway attempt from Leon Draisaitl, but when Vasilevskiy tapped the puck away, it ricocheted off Victor Hedman's leg to give the Oilers a 2-1 lead. Despite the loss, Vasilevskiy had another strong showing, and he's now posted a save percentage of at least .920 in each of his last three starts. Over his last 10 games, the 30-year-old has gone 6-4-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .910 save percentage.
