Horvat (lower body) won't be in the lineup for Saturday's game versus the Sabres, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports. Horvat will miss his fourth straight game by not going on the brief road trip. The 30-year-old's status hasn't been determined for Tuesday's game versus the Devils, but it wouldn't be surprising if the Islanders let him rest through the holiday break to avoid rushing back.

Horvat (lower body) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Canucks, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports. Although Horvat will miss a third consecutive game due to his lower-body injury Friday, head coach Patrick Roy hasn't yet ruled the 30-year-old out for Saturday's matchup in Buffalo. Even if Horvat is unable to play against the Sabres, it doesn't appear as though the Islanders expect him to miss much more time.

Horvat (lower body) will not be in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Detroit. Horvat will miss his second straight game after sustaining a lower-body injury Thursday against the Ducks. Mathew Barzal's (undisclosed) status for Tuesday's matchup is up in the air, so the Islanders will have some shuffling to do up the middle if they end up being without their two most dynamic forwards against the Red Wings. Horvat's next opportunity to suit up will be in the first half of a back-to-back against the Canucks on Friday.

Horvat (lower body) remains day-to-day and is not expected to be ready to face the Lightning on Saturday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. With Horvat out of the lineup, Mathew Barzal will move to the top line while Jean-Gabriel Pageau shifts back to center after playing wing the last few times out. For his part, the 30-year-old Horvat has been rolling of late, scoring five goals on 24 shots, including two with the man advantage, in his last seven outings.

He has 19 goals and 31 points through 31 appearances in 2025-26. Calum Ritchie might shift up to to the Islanders' top six if Horvat isn't an option Saturday versus Tampa Bay.
