  • Arvidsson scored a goal on three shots and added a power-play assist in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Senators. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (illness) was out, and Arvidsson took his place on the top line and first power-play unit. The move was a success, with Arvidsson getting on the scoresheet for the first time in three games since he returned from an undisclosed injury, though he was on the third line for the previous two contests. The winger has not had a chance to build much momentum this year between the injury and the Oilers' slow start to the campaign, but he could be along for the ride with the team playing better now. Arvidsson has three goals, four assists, 45 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through 19 appearances this season.

  • Arvidsson (undisclosed) will return to the lineup versus Boston on Thursday, according to Tony Brar of Oilers TV. Arvidsson will return to action after missing 15 games. He will see third-line duty alongside Adam Henrique and Connor Brown. Arvidsson was signed in the offseason to fill a top-six role, with either Connor McDavid or Leon Draisaitl as his center, but it has not worked out thus far, as Arvidsson has played in only 16 games this season. He has two goals and three assists with 38 shots on goal.

  • Arvidsson (undisclosed) is getting close to returning to the lineup, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports Tuesday. Arvidsson is a possibility to play as soon as Thursday versus Boston. If the 31-year-old forward doesn't play against the Bruins, he could be available for Saturday's game versus San Jose or Sunday's matchup versus Ottawa. Arvidsson has missed the last 15 games and remains on injured reserve for now. He has two goals, five points and 38 shots on net in 16 appearances this season.

  • Head coach Kris Knoblauch said Monday that Arvidsson (undisclosed) has resumed skating, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports. Arvidsson has been out for nearly a month due to his undisclosed injury, and Knoblauch said last week that the 31-year-old winger didn't have a timetable to return. However, Knoblauch indicated Monday that he hopes Arvidsson will be able to practice with the team this week. Arvidsson could be eased into action once he's cleared for team practices, but he seems to be trending in the right direction.

  • Head coach Kris Knoblauch said Thursday that there is no timetable for Arvidsson's return, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports. Arvidsson will miss his 10th consecutive game Thursday. Knoblauch said that the injury hasn't healed the way the team had hoped, so it's unclear when the 31-year-old will be back in action. Arvidsson had been a disappointment before the injury with only five points over 16 games despite seeing plenty of time on a line with Leon Draisaitl.
