Lindell signed a five-year, $26.25 million contract extension with Dallas on Tuesday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic. Lindell provided five goals, 26 points, 114 shots on net, 162 blocked shots and 74 hits across 82 regular-season contests in 2023-24. He will have a $5.8 million cap hit for 2024-25 before it drops to $5.25 million during his new agreement. Lindell will likely occupy a top-four role in the upcoming campaign while featuring prominently on the penalty kill.

The 30-year-old Lindell has two goals and a helper over his last three contests.
