Manson (upper body) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Anaheim, Brennan Vogt of Mile High Hockey reports. There was some hope that Manson could return during Colorado's three-game road trip this week, but he'll remain sidelined for the final matchup of the trip. His last chance to return before the NHL's Christmas break will be Sunday against the Kraken, but it's unclear whether he'll suit up for that contest.

Manson (upper body) is unlikely to play in San Jose on Thursday, according to Brennan Vogt of Mile High Hockey. Manson last played Nov. 29 in Dallas, leaving the game at the 6:00 mark of the second period. Manson has missed nine contests thus far, and while he is close to a return, it appears that Thursday's tilt will be his 10th consecutive game off the ice. Manson has a goal and five assists with a minus-10 rating over 24 games this season.

Manson (upper body) might suit up during Colorado's three-game road trip but won't be in action against Vancouver on Monday, Avalanche play-by-play announcer Conor McGahey reports. Manson will have a few extra days before Colorado's back-to-back versus the Sharks and Ducks on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Once ready to play, Manson will need to be activated off injured reserve, which could see either Keaton Middleton head back to the minors or John Ludvig could be put back on waivers. Manson has registered six points in 24 games this year but doesn't have a power-play role, which limits his fantasy upside.

Manson (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site. Manson is week-to-week after missing Saturday's 4-1 loss to Edmonton. He has accounted for five assists, six points, 27 shots on goal, 34 blocked shots and 51 hits across 24 appearances this season. If Oliver Kylington (upper body) remains unavailable to play against Buffalo, John Ludvig or Keaton Middleton could be in Tuesday's lineup.

Manson (upper body) is considered week-to-week after missing Saturday's game versus the Oilers, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports. Manson is likely farther out from a return than Oliver Kylington (undisclosed), who is day-to-day. Manson will probably miss at least the first half of the Avalanche's upcoming road trip, and he could be out longer. Calvin de Haan and John Ludvig will continue to act as the third pairing until Colorado gets healthier on the blue line.
