Nylander has been on fire in recent weeks and has cracked the scoresheet in his last six appearances, tallying eight points (three goals, five assists) over that span. The 28-year-old center has been one of the best players for Toronto this season and is on pace to average more than one point per game played for the third campaign in a row.

Nylander is riding a five-game, seven-point streak (two goals, five assists), and he has 10 points, including eight assists, in his last eight games. Willie continues to sit in the NHL's top-three goal scorers (35); he and Mark Scheifele are tied behind NHL leader, Leon Draisaitl (46). Nylander also has 205 shots, which ties him with Nikita Kucherov for 11th overall this year.

With two goals and six assists over seven games since returning from his stint with Team Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off, Nylander is on a roll. The 28-year-old is up to 63 points (23 on the power play), 203 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 62 appearances this season as one of the Maple Leafs' most reliable forwards.

Nylander potted the game-winning goal and added an assist in Sunday's 6-5 overtime win over the Penguins. Nylander's 35th goal of the season sealed the win one minute into extra frame -- the Swedish winger lugged the puck up the ice, cut from left to right in the offensive zone and fired a shot past Joel Blomqvist's blocker. Nylander also assisted on Conor Timmins' second goal of the campaign early in the first period. Nylander has found twine in back-to-back games to follow up a five-game goal drought. The 28-year-old is up to 61 points and a plus-5 rating through 60 appearances this season.

Nylander tallied in the second period, ending a five-game goal drought following his Feb. 4 hat trick versus the Flames. The 28-year-old also saw 19:03 of ice time Friday, alleviating any concerns about the injury that made him unavailable for overtime against the Bruins on Tuesday. Nylander is up to 34 goals, 59 points, 192 shots on net and a plus-4 rating across 59 appearances this season.
