Carlo posted an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Oilers. The helper snapped a 29-game slump for Carlo. The 28-year-old defenseman hasn't lost playing time due to his lack of offense -- his value comes primarily from physical and defensive play. Carlo has four points, 31 shots on net, 81 blocked shots, 46 hits, 12 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 34 outings overall, playing mostly on the second pairing.

Carlo was held off the scoresheet for the 18th straight game Saturday in a 2-1 win over the Red Wings. Carlo opened the season with three points in four outings, but his offense has quickly dried up. The defenseman has added 20 shots on net, 28 hits, 57 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 22 appearances. He's a steady defender, but his fantasy value is limited to formats that heavily reward non-scoring production.

Carlo scored a goal on two shots in a 4-3 defeat to the Panthers on Monday. Carlo only scored four times in 76 regular-season contests last year but has already found the back of the net just four games into this campaign. Still, the 27-year-old blueliner has never reached the 20-point mark in his nine-year NHL career, so fantasy managers may want to temper expectations that this strong start (three points in four games) will continue.

Carlo had two assists and one hit in Thursday's 6-4 win over Montreal. Carlo picked up secondary assists on Boston's final two goals. Multi-point games are infrequent for Carlo, who last accomplished the feat in December of 2022.

Carlo scored a goal in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 4. Carlo put the Bruins up by two in the first period with an unassisted goal. He threw a fluttering shot from the point that beat Florida's Sergei Bobrovsky over his right pad, but that was the end of Boston's offense for the night. In addition to scoring a goal, Carlo had two shots on net, one blocked shot, two hits and a plus-1 rating in 19:11 of ice time. So far this postseason, Carlo has three goals and an assist to go along with a plus-4 rating in 11 outings.
