The 27-year-old was limited to four assists over 45 contests in 2023-24 with the Penguins. The 27-year-old Harkins has been on a tear in the minors this year with 17 points in 11 games and offers 200 games of NHL experience for the Ducks' bottom-six if called upon to suit up Wednesday.

If there is an open spot in the lineup, it will likely come down to Harkins or Ross Johnston for a place on the fourth line alongside Brett Leason and Brock McGinn.
