Johnston scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Flames. Johnston's goal came on a turnover by the Flames at their own blue line just after a 4-on-4 situation turned into a Calgary power play. Johnston stole the puck off Nazem Kadri, then danced around Rasmus Andersson to put the Stars on the board at 4:26 of the first period. With four goals and six assists over his last 10 games, Johnston is finding consistency in a top-line role once again. He's up to six tallies, 17 points, 72 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over 27 appearances this season.

Johnston scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Kings. Johnston opened the scoring just 2:34 into the game. The 21-year-old forward has three goals and five assists over his last eight contests, though he had a six-game point streak snapped Monday in Utah. He's now at five goals, 15 points, 67 shots on net, 15 hits and 14 blocked shots through 25 appearances this season. Johnston has switched between the first and third lines this season, though he could get a look alongside Matt Duchene and Mason Marchment at some point since Tyler Seguin (hip) is out until April.

Johnston scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Jets. Johnston tied the game at 1-1 late in the first period. His tally gives him two goals and five assists during a six-game point streak. That's the kind of production fantasy managers were expecting of the 21-year-old, who looks to be thawed out after a fairly chilly first quarter of the campaign. He's up to four goals, 14 points, 63 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating across 23 appearances.

Johnston had a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sharks. Johnston enjoyed an excellent start to the season and cracked the scoresheet in his first five appearances, but he's cooled off since then. This was his first multi-point outing of the campaign, and excluding that five-game stretch at the beginning of the season, he only has four points (two goals, two assists) in 13 contests. Given that Johnston had 65 points in 82 regular-season outings in 2023-24, this is not the kind of start neither he nor fantasy managers were hoping for.

Johnston scored a power-play goal on eight shots in Monday's 7-1 win over the Penguins. Johnston started the season on a five-game point streak, but this was just his second point over the last nine contests. The 21-year-old has seven points, 38 shots on net, nine hits and nine blocked shots over 14 appearances. He was on the third line with Jamie Benn and Logan Stankoven in this game, though Johnston has also found success when playing on the top line. Given his recent slump, Johnston is an excellent buy-low candidate.
