  Lyubushkin notched an assist, two hits, three blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. Lyubushkin had a shot attempt that pinged in off Evgenii Dadonov. The helper was Lyubushkin's sixth over 10 contests in November, which is one of the best stretches of his career. That's all the offense the 30-year-old blueliner has this year, and he's added 21 hits, 37 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 19 appearances. His career high in points is 14 from the 2021-22 campaign, which he split between the Coyotes and the Maple Leafs, but it's too soon to tell if he'll come close to that mark this year.

Lyubushkin's biggest contributions are usually of the physical variety -- he's recorded at least one blocked shot in each game this season. The blueliner has 30 blocks, 17 hits, eight shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 16 appearances while filling a bottom-four role.

Lyubushkin has found some offense in November, posting three assists over his last three contests. The defenseman did not get on the scoresheet over nine games in October. That's not unusual -- he brings a physical element to the Stars' blue line, with little offense to add. He's recorded six shots on net, four PIM, 15 hits, 22 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 12 appearances in a bottom-four role.

  Lyubushkin provided two even-strength assists in Friday's 6-4 defeat to the Panthers. Lyubushkin's pair of helpers were his first two points of the campaign. The Russian blueliner added one shot, one block, two hits and a plus-2 rating in 18:33 of ice time to round out a solid fantasy performance. While Lyubushkin isn't known for his offensive prowess, he's currently paired with offensive-minded Thomas Harley, so there could be an opportunity for the former to challenge his career-high mark in points (15) which he achieved during the 2021-22 campaign split between Arizona and Toronto.

• Stars' Ilya Lyubushkin: Inks three-year agreement

  Lyubushkin signed a three-year, $9.75 million contract with the Stars on Monday. Lyubushkin had eight points (all assists), 57 PIM, 176 hits and 168 blocked shots in 74 regular-season contests between Anaheim and Toronto in 2023-24. The 30-year-old is likely to serve primarily on the third pairing with the Stars. Between Lyubushkin and Matt Dumba, who also signed a two-year deal with the Stars, Dallas is adding a lot of grit to its defense.
