  Joseph exited Thursday's tilt against Buffalo because of a lower-body injury and won't return. Joseph logged 5:59 of ice time before he left the game. He went into Thursday's action with an assist, 23 PIM, seven hits and eight blocks through 12 appearances in 2024-25. If Joseph can't play Saturday versus Boston, then Leo Loof, who was recalled from the AHL on Wednesday, might make his NHL debut.

  Joseph signed a one-year, $950,000 contract with St. Louis on Tuesday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Joseph compiled two goals, nine assists, 42 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and 47 hits across 52 regular-season contests with Pittsburgh in 2023-24. He will add some depth to the blue line of St. Louis. Ottawa traded forward Mathieu Joseph to the Blues on Tuesday, allowing Pierre-Olivier to be on the same team as his older brother.

  Joseph did not receive a qualifying offer from Pittsburgh and will become an unrestricted free agent Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. While he didn't receive the QO, Joseph is reportedly still discussing a possible extension, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports. Joseph appeared in 52 games last season and was often a healthy scratch. He scored 11 points, including eight over his last 18 appearances, while averaging 15:05 of ice time per game.

  Joseph registered eight points in the Penguins' last 18 games of the season. Joseph managed just three points through his first 34 appearances this year, which included several stints in the press box as a healthy scratch before finding his game in mid-March while Ryan Graves (concussion) was sidelined.
