A 1-1 tie through two periods turned into a wild final frame, and Fleury hit the bench for the final two minutes with Minnesota down 3-2, only to see each team score once more. The 39-year-old netminder lost his final three starts of the season, leaving him with a 17-15-5 record, 2.98 GAA and .895 save percentage through 40 outings. A one-year contract extension he signed earlier this week will bring him back to Minnesota in 2024-25 as Filip Gustavsson's backup, and Fleury still has some personal milestones he can reach -- Flower needs two more shutouts to move into sole possession of 10th place on the NHL's all-time list.

  Fleury will start Thursday at home against Seattle, per Jessi Pierce of NHL.com. Fleury struggled in his last start against one of his former teams, surrendering seven goals on just 30 shots in a 7-2 loss to Vegas on Saturday. The 39-year-old has recorded an .895 save percentage and a 17-14-5 record in 39 appearances this year. He will have a favorable matchup against Seattle, who ranks 29th in goals per game at 2.59.

• Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Signs one-year extention

  Fleury agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.5 million contract extension with Minnesota on Wednesday. Fleury will put retirement off for at least one more season, instead deciding to stick around with the Wild for his 21st NHL campaign. 2023-24 marks the first time Flower won't appear in the postseason since 2005-06 when he was a second-year player with the Penguins. Even with another year ahead of him, Fleury won't be able to top Martin Brodeur for the all-time wins mark considering Fleury is still 130 victories shy of Brodeur's mark.

  Fleury will patrol the blue paint for the season finale against Seattle at home Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Fleury could be playing in his final career game, given his expiring contract and the fact that he has publicly stated he would only sign in Minnesota. If the Wild opt to go in a different direction, the three-time Stanley Cup winner is reportedly poised to hang up the skates. On the year, he is 17-14-5 with two shutouts, a 2.98 GAA and an .895 save percentage through 39 contests.

The 39-year-old is down to 17-14-5 with a 2.98 GAA and an .895 save percentage through 39 appearances this season. Jesper Wallstedt is slated to start Saturday in San Jose, but the Wild's goaltending plans for the last two games of the season have not yet been announced.
