• Penguins' Kris Letang: One of each in win over Columbus

  Letang scored a goal on three shots, supplied an assist and added two hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blue Jackets. Letang set up Sidney Crosby for the opening goal at 6:10 of the first period, then won the game himself 59 seconds into overtime. The goal was Letang's second of the season. He entered Friday on a five-game point drought, a span in which the Penguins had just 11 goals as a team. The 38-year-old blueliner has accumulated 10 points, 37 shots on net, 28 hits, 29 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 23 outings this season while regularly playing on the second pairing and second power-play unit.

• Penguins' Kris Letang: Dishes two helpers

  Letang logged a pair of assists, three shots on goal, four hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild. Letang helped out on the game-tying goal by Ryan Shea in the second period and a Bryan Rust tally in the third that stood as the game-winner. This was Letang's second multi-point effort of the campaign. The 38-year-old defenseman has a goal, five helpers, 17 shots on net, 16 hits, 19 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 12 appearances. If he can continue to produce at around a 40-point pace with plenty of non-scoring contributions, he's worth having on most fantasy rosters.

• Penguins' Kris Letang: Strikes on power play

  Letang scored a power-play goal on two shots, blocked three shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Blue Jackets. Letang started slow, but he's earned four points over his last four games, accounting for all of his offense this season. His goal Saturday was the first of two late in the third period for the Penguins to help get the game to overtime. Through nine contests, the veteran defenseman has added 11 shots on net, 12 hits, 14 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating for a team that has exceeded early expectations.

• Penguins' Kris Letang: Reaches big milestone Tuesday

  Letang collected two power-play assists in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Canucks. With his second helper of the night -- on Justin Brazeau's insurance tally in the third period -- Letang reached 600 career assists, becoming the 20th defenseman in NHL history to reach that plateau. He's also the 10th defender to achieve the milestone with a single team, a list that includes Hall of Fame legends Bobby Orr, Larry Robinson, Denis Potvin and Nicklas Lidstrom. Letang is nearing the end of his career at 38 years of age, but he still has something left in the tank. After being held off the scoresheet through Pittsburgh's first five games of the season, he has three assists in the last two.

  Letang registered an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Sharks. Letang's helper was his first point in six outings this season. He had an injury scare against the Rangers on Oct. 11, but he's been fine during the Penguins' road trip through California, playing in his usual top-four role. The defenseman has added six shots on net, nine blocked shots, eight hits and a plus-3 rating to begin the campaign, but he'll need more offense to be reliable in fantasy.
