Mark Scheifele C | WPG
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Dishes two assists
Scheifele registered two assists, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Capitals.
Scheifele helped out on Logan Stanley's opening goal in the first period and a Gabriel Vilardi tally in the third. Over his last 10 outings, Scheifele has racked up five goals, seven assists, 18 shots on net and a plus-5 rating, getting on the scoresheet in nine of those games. The top-line center is at 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists), 67 shots, 18 PIM and a plus-11 rating across 31 contests this season, sharing the team lead in points with Kyle Connor through Saturday's action.

Morgan Barron C | WPG
Jets' Morgan Barron: Scores again Saturday
Barron scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM, doled out two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Capitals.
Barron has scored in consecutive games and has earned three points, 14 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-6 rating over his last five outings. The 27-year-old was shuffled up to the third line for Saturday's contest, and an increase in ice time might help him sustain some success on offense. Overall, he's at nine points, 37 shots on net, 52 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 25 appearances, putting him on pace to top the 20-point mark for just the second time in his career.

Rodrigo Abols C | PHI
Flyers' Rodrigo Abols: Plucks apple in shootout loss
Abols logged an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Hurricanes.
Abols ended a 10-game point drought with the helper. The 29-year-old is currently centering the Flyers' fourth line with Carl Grundstrom and Garnet Hathaway, which has arguably been the most productive iteration of that unit this season. Abols has just two points with 22 shots on net, 29 hits, 11 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 25 appearances, so it's unlikely he'll score enough to help fantasy managers.

Joseph Veleno C | MON
Canadiens' Joe Veleno: Pockets helper in overtime loss
Veleno logged an assist and four blocked shots in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers.
Veleno saw 15:51 of ice time in this contest, his second-highest total of the season. The 25-year-old also landed on a line with defensive ace Jake Evans, which could lead to more ice time if that duo, plus Brendan Gallagher, stays together. Veleno is not a fantasy option in most formats -- he has just two points with 23 shots on net, 58 hits and a minus-10 rating over 26 outings.
-
Sam Carrick C | NYR
Rangers' Sam Carrick: Slumping on offense
Carrick's point drought is up to 11 games after he failed to get on the scoresheet in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Canadiens.
Furthermore, Carrick has just one helper over 22 games since he scored in an Oct. 28 win over the Canucks. The 33-year-old center is valuable enough to the Rangers in a fourth-line and penalty-killing role that he stays in the lineup even during slumps. He has six points, 34 shots on net, 50 hits, 28 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 33 appearances, but he's likely to fall far short of his career-high 20 points from last year.
-
Trevor Zegras C | PHI
Flyers' Trevor Zegras: Two points Saturday
Zegras recorded a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Hurricanes.
Zegras participated in two of the Flyers' three goals in this win, setting up Bobby Brink's first-period goal and later adding one of his own before the end of that first frame. Zegras remains one of the Flyers' most productive players and has notched 30 points this season, with 12 goals and 18 assists.
-
Seth Jarvis C | CAR
Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Scores vs. Philly
Jarvis scored a goal, took three shots and recorded five hits in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Flyers.
Jarvis scored his 18th goal of the season at the 12:26 mark of the third period with a wrister that gave the Canes a 3-2 lead. Although the team couldn't sustain it, Carolina ended up winning after a shootout in which Jarvis couldn't score. The star winger remains productive and has netted seven goals over his last nine appearances, a stretch in which he's also racked up an assist, 33 shots on goal, 18 hits, three blocked shots and a minus-2 rating.

Charlie Coyle C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Ends scoring drought
Coyle scored a goal and took four shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights.
Coyle found the back of the net at the 7:02 mark of the first period with a wrister that gave Columbus a one-goal lead. However, the team was unable to sustain it and lost a fifth straight game. At least Coyle snapped his scoring drought, as this was his first goal since Dec. 1. With only five points (two goals, three assists) in seven December games and a bottom-six role entrenched, Coyle shouldn't carry a ton of fantasy upside moving forward.

Nick Suzuki C | MON
Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Helps out twice Saturday
Suzuki distributed two assists in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers.
Suzuki gave out the primary helper on the team's opening goal by Zack Bolduc before chipping in on Josh Anderson's tally in the second period. The 26-year-old Suzuki is up to 28 assists, 36 points, 66 shots on goal, 25 hits and 25 points through 31 games this season. Not only does he rank in the league's top 20 in points, but he also has solid category coverage to bolster his fantasy profile. He's on pace for another 70-plus point season, which would be his third straight year hitting that mark.

Jake Evans C | MON
Canadiens' Jake Evans: Lights lamp in loss
Evans scored a goal, put two shots on net, served two PIM and dished out three hits in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers.
Evans gave the Canadiens a 3-0 lead in the first period, but the Rangers promptly surged back with two goals of their own prior to the first intermission. The 29-year-old winger is up to five goals, nine points, 34 shots on net, 42 hits and 23 blocks through 30 games this season. He is currently centering the third line and has continued to provide all-around stat coverage. There are likely better options for higher-end scoring in fantasy, but Evans should continue to be a steady source of category coverage when he's in the lineup.
