  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Inks entry-level deal

McQueen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Ducks on Saturday. McQueen's contract will begin in 2026-27. In the meantime, he's been playing for Anaheim's AHL affiliate, San Diego, on an amateur tryout agreement that he inked April 1. McQueen had 11 goals, 27 points and 45 PIM across 36 appearances with Providence College in 2025-26. He's also collected a goal and three points in six regular-season outings with San Diego.

  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Agrees to minor-league tryout

McQueen signed an amateur tryout agreement with AHL San Diego on Wednesday. McQueen hasn't signed an entry-level contract yet with Anaheim, but inking an ATO without locking into an NHL contract will enable him to participate in the Calder Cup Playoffs. The 19-year-old had 11 goals, 27 points and 45 PIM in 36 outings with Providence College as a freshman in 2025-26. Anaheim selected him with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.

  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Two goals in Providence win

McQueen scored twice in Providence College's 6-1 win over the University of Maine on Friday. McQueen is up to eight goals and 18 points in 19 appearances for the Friars this season. The Ducks prospect has had no trouble adjusting to the higher level of play in the NCAA compared to the WHL, as he's been right around a point-per-game pace all season. The 10th overall pick from 2025 should continue to put up plenty of offense for Providence in the second half of the campaign.

  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Continues trending up

McQueen was named a Hockey East Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday. McQueen had two goals and an assist for Providence College, which split the week's two-game set versus UMass-Amherst. McQueen is up to four goals and 11 points over 13 appearances this season, overcoming a slow start to the year. The freshman forward should continue to be able to grow his offense, and the Ducks will be keeping an eye on their 2025 first-rounder's progress, as should dynasty fantasy managers.

  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Breaks out with three points

McQueen scored twice on six shots and added an assist in Providence College's 6-1 win over Merrimack College on Friday. The pair of goals were McQueen's first of the season. He's picked up eight points and 25 PIM through 10 contests to begin his collegiate career. The 19-year-old forward is a first-round pick (10th overall) of the Ducks in 2025, so it's good to see him hit the ground running on offense after stepping up from the WHL. McQueen has also stayed healthy so far this season after missing a large part of 2024-25 with a back injury. McQueen is a long-term project for fantasy -- expect him to use up multiple years in college, and he may need some AHL time before he's ready to help the Ducks.

  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Joining Friars

McQueen committed to Providence College ahead of the 2025-26 season. McQueen was selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, so it's hard to imagine he will spend a full four seasons in the NCAA. Still, it's a strong addition for the Friars as long as the 18-year-old center can avoid any additional back problems. When healthy, McQueen offers strong offensive upside, racking up 10 goals and 10 assists in just 17 regular-season games for WHL Brandon last year.
