  • Flyers' Anthony Richard: Placed on waivers Friday

The Flyers put Richard on waivers Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Richard was terrific during his first stint with the Flyers this season, scoring twice while adding four assists in seven games. He was sent to AHL Lehigh Valley on Nov. 23 and returned to the NHL Jan. 22. His second round in the NHL did not go very well offensively, as he was held without a point in eight games while going minus-7. The Flyers activated Jakob Pelletier and Andrei Kuzmenko on Friday, necessitating the team to place Richard on waivers.

  • Colin White C | SJ

    Sharks' Colin White: Waived Friday

White was placed on waivers by San Jose on Friday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

White has no points, one shot, two hits and one block in three appearances with the Sharks this season. If he clears waivers, he'll presumably be returned to AHL San Jose. White has five goals and nine points in 20 outings with the minor-league squad in 2024-25.

  • Nicolas Roy C | COL

Golden Knights' Nicolas Roy: Lights lamp in win

Roy scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Devils.

Roy ended a 15-game goal drought when he opened the scoring at 3:09 of the second period. He had five assists in that span, all since he returned from an upper-body injury in mid-January. Roy now has seven goals, 19 points, 67 shots on net, 41 hits, 37 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 44 appearances. The 28-year-old is filling a fourth-line role currently, though he continues to see power-play time, so his floor is higher than other players with a similar place in their respective lineups.

  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Scores in Thursday's win

Eichel scored a goal on six shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Devils.

Eichel has played well lately, racking up eight goals and five assists over his last 11 outings. The 28-year-old center is up to 19 goals, 67 points, 169 shots and a plus-28 rating through 54 outings overall. He's shooting 11.2 percent, the same as he did last season -- his uptick in points has come from a rise in playmaking. If he continues to play at this level, he'll challenge for a 30-goal, 100-point campaign.

  • Yakov Trenin C | MIN

Wild's Yakov Trenin: Tallies goal Thursday

Trenin scored the opening goal and added three hits in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Hurricanes.

Trenin found the twine less than three minutes into Thursday's contest off a feed from linemate Marat Khusnutdinov. The 28-year-old is up to five goals, 11 points, 46 shots on target and 147 hits in 49 appearances this season. Trenin's offensive production has taken a jump, tallying three points over his past four games. While his fantasy value is limited on Minnesota's fourth line, his hit totals are noteworthy in banger leagues.

  • Wild's Vinnie Hinostroza: Nets first goal with Wild

Hinostroza tallied a goal and took three shots on net in Thursday's 2-1 win over Carolina.

Hinostroza found the back of the net less than one minute into the third period in his debut with Minnesota. Between his time with the Wild and Nashville Predators, he has one goal, two assists, 14 shots on net and 13 hits across 14 appearances this season. With Kirill Kaprizov on IR (lower-body), Hinostroza is playing on Minnesota's third line. The right-winger doesn't have much value in fantasy for now but has the opportunity to take on a larger role in the superstar's absence.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Game-time decision versus Preds

Kozak (illness) will be a game-time call for Saturday's matchup with Nashville, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.

Kozak was on the ice for practice Friday, which could clear the way for him to return to the lineup against the Predators. If Kozak does play, it figures to be in a bottom-six role. Prior to getting sick, the 22-year-old center was stuck in a nine-game pointless streak dating back to Dec. 7 versus Utah. Kozak will need to be activated off injured reserve before he can rejoin the lineup, which could mean a demotion to the minors for Isak Rosen.

  • Dylan Cozens C | OTT

Sabres' Dylan Cozens: Could play Saturday

Cozens (lower body) is expected to be a game-time decision in Nashville on Saturday, according to Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.

Cozens has not missed a game with the injury. The young center has 10 goals, 16 assists, 49 PIM and 118 hits across 53 appearances this season. Cozens looked to be a breakout player two seasons ago at the age of 21 when he had 31 goals and 37 assists in 81 regular-season games. but he has regressed the last two campaigns. Look for Sam Lafferty to draw into the lineup, should Cozens not be able to play.

  • Sabres' Tage Thompson: Game-time decision Saturday

Thompson (concussion) will be a game-time decision versus Nashville on Saturday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.

Thompson participated in a full practice Friday, including seeing duty on the first power play. The 27-year-old sat out Tuesday's game against Columbus. Thompson was red-hot before his injury, picking up four goals and eight points in his last three games. Thompson has 26 goals and 22 assists over 47 contests this season.

  • Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson: Facing extended absence

Interim head coach Anders Sorensen said Friday that Dickinson (ankle) is expected to miss a "couple weeks" after the 4 Nations Face-Off, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Based on that timeline, Dickinson is likely facing about a four-week absence but will benefit from the first two weeks being during the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 29-year-old forward has been struggling to produce offensively this season, managing just 16 points in 53 games after having reached the 30-point threshold in each of the prior two campaigns. With his ankle injury compounding the issue, Dickinson likely won't reach that mark in 2024-25. Given his timeline, Dickinson almost certainly will land on injured reserve in the coming days.
