J.T. Miller C | NYR
Rangers' J.T. Miller: Strikes twice in return to New York
Miller scored two goals, one on the power play, in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Bruins.
Acquired from the Canucks on Friday in a blockbuster trade, Miller immediately looked comfortable in his return to the team that employed him for the first five-plus seasons of his NHL career. There will likely be some juggling as coach Peter Laviolette determines the 31-year-old center's best fit in the top six alongside the likes of Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider, but Miller should be locked in on a talented first power-play unit. He was already heating up in Vancouver prior to the trade, and over his last seven games, Miller has racked up three goals and eight points.

Carter Verhaeghe C | FLA
Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two-point effort in win
Verhaeghe scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 5-1 win over Chicago.
The 29-year-old has had trouble building any momentum since late December. Saturday's effort was only the second time in the last 20 games that Verhaeghe has delivered multiple points, a sluggish stretch in which he's managed just three goals and 10 points. After reaching the 30-goal and 70-point plateaus in each of the last two seasons, Verhaeghe is well short of those paces with just 12 goals and 37 points in 53 appearances so far in 2024-25.

Aleksander Barkov C | FLA
Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Two helpers against Chicago
Barkov picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-1 win over Chicago.
After helping to set up what proved to be the game-winner by Sam Reinhart in the first period, Barkov had a hand in Carter Verhaeghe's tally midway through the third. Barkov hit a slow patch in late December and into January, going 14 straight games without a multi-point performance, but he's heating up with a goal and five points in his last four contests.

Sam Reinhart C | FLA
Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Three points including GWG
Reinhart scored the game-winning goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-1 victory over Chicago.
It was Reinhart's first multi-point performance since Jan. 13, snapping a brief slump that had seen him produce just two goals and three points over his prior eight games. Saturday's goal was Reinhart's 30th of the season, marking the fourth straight campaign in which he's reached that milestone. Reinhart's only the second player in franchise history to post four 30-goal seasons for the Panthers, joining Olli Jokinen.

Ryan Suzuki C | CAR
Hurricanes' Ryan Suzuki: Dropped to AHL
Suzuki was reassigned to AHL Chicago on Sunday.
Carolina summoned Riley Stillman from the minors in a corresponding move. Suzuki made his NHL debut against the Blackhawks on Thursday and played in the Hurricanes' last two games, providing two hits and a plus-1 rating.

Zach Hyman C | EDM
Oilers' Zach Hyman: Nets goal Saturday
Hyman scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.
The Oilers loaded up their top line with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl playing together. Corey Perry was listed with that trio initially, but Perry plays limited minutes, so Hyman still got some shifts in a prominent role as one of the Oilers' most trusted forwards. The goal was Hyman's third in seven contests against the Maple Leafs since he left them for the Oilers in 2021-22. For the season, the 32-year-old winger is at 18 goals, 13 helpers, 137 shots on net, 37 hits and a plus-15 rating over 47 appearances.

John Tavares C | TOR
Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Grabs helper in return
Tavares notched an assist and two hits in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Oilers.
Tavares saw 19:54 of ice time in his return from a lower-body injury that cost him six games. The 34-year-old center returned to his usual top-six role as well as a spot on the first power-play unit. Tavares is at 20 goals, 23 helpers, 125 shots on net, 57 hits and a plus-4 rating over 45 appearances. It's unclear if he'll be able to hover around a point-per-game pace the rest of the way, but he should give Toronto's offense a significant boost now that he's healthy again.

Bobby McMann C | SEA
Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Scores on power play Saturday
McMann scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Oilers.
With the return of Matthew Knies (upper body), McMann moved back down to the third line. The Maple Leafs' replenished lineup didn't cost McMann a power-play role, as he cashed in while skating with the second unit. The winger has three goals and three assists over his last seven outings, but his offense could take a dip now that he's back in a bottom-six role. He's matched his career high with 15 goals, and with 23 points over 44 outings, he's one shy of matching his total output from 56 games in the 2023-24 regular season. McMann has added 111 shots on net, 72 hits and a plus-5 rating in 2024-25.

Mark Scheifele C | WPG
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Notches pair of assists
Scheifele logged two assists in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Capitals.
Scheifele logged his third multi-point effort in four games, posting four goals and three assists in that span. The center continues to play at an elite level on the Jets' top line. For the season, he's at 31 goals, 30 helpers, 123 shots on net, 41 hits, 43 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 54 appearances. He's had no fewer than 13 points in any month so far, though that may be a challenging mark to reach in February due to the NHL's break for the 4 Nations Face-Off that will cover nearly half of the month.

Nazem Kadri C | COL
Flames' Nazem Kadri: Breaks up shutout bid
Kadri scored a power-play goal on four shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Red Wings.
Kadri's goal at 8:34 of the third period spoiled Cam Talbot's shutout bid. With three goals and three assists over his last six outings, Kadri continues to provide solid offense in a top-line role. The 34-year-old center had Joel Farabee on his wing Saturday following Thursday's trade with the Flyers -- the Flames' line combinations could be in flux for a bit as they work to get Farabee and Morgan Frost in the right spots. Kadri is up to 18 goals, 35 points (11 on the power play), 167 shots on net, 57 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 51 appearances.
