  • Flyers' Sean Couturier: Two-point effort Thursday

Couturier picked up a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Islanders.

The veteran center opened the scoring for the Flyers early in the second period, banging home a Joel Farabee pass from right on Ilya Sorokin's doorstep. Couturier has struggled to provide consistent production this season -- over his prior 10 games, he'd managed just two helpers -- and through 44 appearances, he has only eight goals and 22 points.

  • Kent Johnson C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Kent Johnson: Two points including GWG

Johnson scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Thursday's 4-1 victory over the Sharks.

An aggressive Sean Kuraly forecheck late in the first period led to a San Jose turnover, and Johnson was able to take advantage to score his 12th goal of the season and give Columbus a 2-0 lead. It's Johnson's first multi-point performance in over a month, and across his prior 14 contests, the 22-year-old had managed just two goals and six points. The young winger has been streaky all year -- he has five separate point streaks of three games or more in 2024-25, accounting for all of his production aside from Thursday's effort -- so he could be gearing up for another surge.

  • Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Lights lamp in loss

Rodrigues scored a goal on three shots and added four PIM in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Rodrigues has two goals and an assist over his last four outings. Despite that production, he's been sliding down the lineup, with a fourth-line assignment and just 11:30 of ice time in Thursday's defeat. The Panthers' offense as a whole has been a little inconsistent lately, leading to head coach Paul Maurice trying different things with his forward combinations. Rodrigues is up to 20 points, 85 shots on net, 71 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-6 rating through 46 appearances.

  • Marco Kasper C | DET

Red Wings' Marco Kasper: Pair of points in Thursday's win

Kasper scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.

This was Kasper's third multi-point effort over his last four games. A move to the top line has been the catalyst for his surge on offense. The 20-year-old forward should also gain left-wing eligibility if he continues to play there alongside Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond. Kasper is up to five goals, 13 points, 59 shots on net, 67 hits and a minus-9 rating through 39 appearances as a rookie this season.

  • Ducks' Mason McTavish: Collects helper Thursday

McTavish posted an assist and six shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Lightning.

McTavish was at left wing Thursday after frequently playing in a middle-six role at center this season. He was still involved on faceoffs, winning eight of his 10 draws. The 21-year-old forward has three points over his last six games, and he's up to 19 points, 80 shots on net, 40 hits and 26 PIM through 39 appearances this season.

  • Robby Fabbri C | MIN

Ducks' Robby Fabbri: Forces overtime Thursday

Fabbri scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Lightning.

Fabbri ended his eight-game point drought with a third-period tally to force overtime. During his slump, Fabbri's ice time has dropped slightly, but he remains in a middle-six role. The 28-year-old winger is up to seven goals, four assists, 48 shots on net, 45 hits and a minus-7 rating over 32 appearances. The Ducks don't have a particularly strong offense, so a depth player like Fabbri isn't a great choice for fantasy managers.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Scores in return

Point scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Ducks.

Point missed a team meeting and was scratched Tuesday versus the Bruins. It was a one-game punishment for the 28-year-old center, and he made some amends by scoring a second-period tally Thursday. The center is up to 26 goals, 48 points, 89 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 38 appearances. Point can be safely reinserted into all fantasy lineups as he pushes toward a third straight 40-plus-goal season.

  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Power-play goal in shootout win

Cirelli scored a power-play goal on five shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Ducks.

Cirelli tied the game at 1-1 in the first period. The 27-year-old center has three goals and one assist over his last five contests as he continues to make a larger impact than ever on offense this season. He's up to 18 goals, 19 helpers, five power-play points, 89 shots and a plus-18 rating through 42 appearances. Cirelli figures to play on the second line at even strength while seeing big minutes in all situations.

  • Bobby McMann C | SEA

Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Contributes helper

McMann notched an assist and two hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.

The helper ended a six-game slump for McMann. That's a large step back for the winger, who racked up six goals and four assists over nine contests between Dec. 15 and Jan. 2. The 28-year-old is at 18 points, 89 shots on net, 64 hits and a plus-6 rating through 38 appearances this season. McMann continues to see middle-six minutes.

  • Max Domi C | TOR

Maple Leafs' Max Domi: Earns 300th career assist

Domi logged an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.

The helper was Domi's 300th career assist. That's not the only milestone he'll reach in January -- assuming he suits up Saturday in Montreal, he'll play in his 700th game. The 29-year-old has three helpers over eight outings this month, but he could see an uptick in offense while filling in on the second line for John Tavares (lower body). Domi has 16 points, 55 shots on net and 32 PIM over 38 appearances this season.
