    Sharks' Nico Sturm: Slated to play

    Sturm (lower body) is expected to be in the lineup Saturday versus the Wild, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

    Sturm has missed three games with the injury. The 29-year-old is expected to play on the fourth line against the Wild. His return is a benefit to the Sharks, as they've been dealing with a number of injuries up front lately.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Aston-Reese: Departs Saturday's game

    Aston-Reese sustained an upper-body injury and won't return to Saturday's game versus the Blues.

    It's unclear how Aston-Reese was initially injured, but he did not play in the third period. The 30-year-old forward has not registered a point in his last 10 games. If he can't play Tuesday versus the Flyers, the Blue Jackets may call up a forward or roll with 11 forwards and seven defensemen.

    Sharks' Klim Kostin: Moves to injured reserve

    Kostin (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.

    Kostin was injured in Friday's contest and will ultimately miss a minimum of three games due to the issue. His move to IR opened a roster spot for Carl Grundstrom to return from an upper-body injury in Saturday's matchup against Minnesota. Kostin is not a lock to be in the lineup once he's healthy again.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Registers two points Saturday

    Geekie produced one goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime triumph over Florida on Saturday.

    Geekie opened the scoring at the 6:02 mark of the first period with a power-play goal before setting up the first of two tallies by David Pastrnak late in the second stanza. The 26-year-old Geekie had one goal and one assist in six outings going into Saturday's matchup. He had seven goals and 12 points in 15 appearances before his cold spell.

  • Jets' Vladislav Namestnikov: Out Saturday

    Namestnikov (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Saturday versus Colorado, per Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site.

    Namestnikov was hurt when he blocked a shot during Friday's 2-1 overtime loss against LA. He has nine goals and 20 points in 43 appearances in 2024-25. Dominic Toninato is expected to draw into the lineup because of Namestnikov's injury.

    Blackhawks' Craig Smith: Still day-to-day

    Smith (back) is day-to-day and won't play versus Edmonton on Saturday, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.

    Smith will miss his second straight game. He has registered six goals, 11 points and 62 shots on net in 30 appearances this season. Lukas Reichel will replace Philipp Kurashev in Saturday's lineup.

  • Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Scores against Bruins

    Rodrigues potted a goal on four shots in a 4-3 overtime loss against the Bruins on Saturday.

    Rodrigues scored his eighth goal of 2024-25 during a second-period power play for the Panthers. He didn't have a goal in 15 outings going into Saturday's matchup, and he had only two assists and 26 shots on net during that span. Rodrigues has contributed 18 points through 43 appearances this season.

    Reinhart scored two goals on 11 shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Boston.

    Reinhart scored both goals in the third period, with one coming in the first minute and one in the final seconds of regulation. He has three goals and one assist in his last four outings following a four-game pointless skid. Reinhart has 25 tallies, 49 points and 112 shots on net through 43 appearances this season.

    Chytil will miss his second straight game. He has 10 goals and 17 points in 33 appearances in 2024-25. Once healthy, Chytil could occupy a third-line role and see time on the second power-play unit.
