Macklin Celebrini C | SJ
Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Puts up assist in loss
Celebrini logged an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two PIM in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
Celebrini set up Will Smith for the Sharks' second goal, a play that could be repeated many times over the next few years. Over his last eight contests, Celebrini has three goals and eight assists. He's up to 11 goals, 15 helpers, 87 shots on net, 19 blocked shots, 17 hits and a minus-7 rating over 26 appearances this season. The 18-year-old is already one of the steadiest forwards in the Sharks' lineup in addition to being a huge talent.

Will Smith C | SJ
Sharks' Will Smith: Goal, assist in loss
Smith scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
Smith ended a seven-game dry spell Friday, though he also missed three contests in that span due to an upper-body injury. The 19-year-old natural center has been playing on the wing a bit lately, and he was on the second line in this contest. He's up to six goals, 13 points, 43 shots and a minus-11 rating through 30 appearances -- those aren't Calder-caliber numbers, but he's been fine for a rookie forward on a low-scoring team.

William Karlsson C | LV
Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Sets up empty-netter
Karlsson provided an assist and five shots on goal in Friday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.
Karlsson has two goals and three assists during his five-game point streak. He's been quietly successful, and part of his success can be attributed to a move to the second line. Karlsson is up to seven goals, 10 assists, 64 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 26 appearances this season.

Pavel Dorofeyev RW | LV
Golden Knights' Pavel Dorofeyev: Ends goal drought in win
Dorofeyev scored a goal on four shots, blocked two shots and went minus-2 in Friday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.
Dorofeyev snapped an 11-game goal drought with his third-period tally. The 24-year-old winger was a good story for Vegas early on, but since his offense has slipped, he's found himself on the third line. He has matched his career high with 13 goals, and he's added six assists, 102 shots on net, 22 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 35 appearances. Considering he's fallen down the lineup while the Golden Knights aren't fully healthy up front, Dorofeyev isn't likely to bounce back into the top six any time soon.

Brett Howden C | LV
Golden Knights' Brett Howden: One of each Friday
Howden scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added an assist in Friday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.
Howden was involved in the Golden Knights' last two goals. He set up Pavel Dorofeyev's tally at 5:46 of the third period before adding an empty-netter in the final minute. Howden has multiple points in three of his last four outings, and he's up to 14 goals, four assists, 57 shots on net, 63 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 35 appearances. He played at center Friday but has often been on the wing. Howden is on pace to shatter his career high of 23 points from his rookie year with the Rangers in 2018-19.

Jack Eichel C | LV
Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Earns two shorthanded points
Eichel scored a goal and dished an assist, both while shorthanded, in Friday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.
The center added two shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-4 rating in the victory. Eichel's contributions on the penalty kill early in the third period helped the Golden Knights flip a 3-2 deficit to a 4-3 lead. The 28-year-old is up to 10 goals, 47 points, 100 shots on net, 27 blocked shots and a plus-21 rating over 35 outings this season. That includes two goals and nine helpers over 10 games in December. This is the third season in which Eichel has logged multiple shorthanded points.

Logan Cooley C | UTA
Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Deals power-play helper
Cooley logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and a minus-3 rating in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche.
Cooley saw a five-game point streak end Monday, but he was right back on the scoresheet following the holiday break. He's been a regular in the scoring department over the last month-plus, racking up five goals and 14 helpers over 16 contests dating back to Nov. 23. The second-year center is up to 31 points (10 on the power play), 67 shots on net, 29 hits, 20 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 35 appearances this season.

Hockey Club's Nick Schmaltz: Buries lone goal on power play
Schmaltz scored a power-play goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche.
Schmaltz has two goals and five assists over his last seven outings, getting on the scoresheet in six of those games. He tied this contest at 1-1 in the third period, but the Avalanche found another gear late in the frame. Schmaltz is up to six goals, 28 points (nine on the power play), 81 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 35 appearances this season in his usual top-line role.

Nathan MacKinnon C | COL
Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Distributes three helpers in win
MacKinnon registered three assists, four shots on goal, five PIM and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 4-1 win over Utah.
MacKinnon helped out on the Avalanche's first three goals, two by Artturi Lehkonen and one from Mikko Rantanen. This was MacKinnon's seventh multi-point effort -- and his fourth such game in a row -- in December, a month in which he has seven goals and 17 helpers over 12 outings. Overall, the superstar is the first to reach the 60-point mark this season and showing no signs of slowing down. He's at 14 goals, 46 helpers, 142 shots on net, 32 blocked shots, 25 PIM and a plus-9 rating through 37 appearances.

Colton Sissons C | LV
Predators' Colton Sissons: Assists in back-to-back games
Sissons produced an assist and two hits in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Blues.
Sissons has a helper in each of the last two games, accounting for both of his assists this season. It's the first time he's been on the scoresheet in consecutive contests. The 31-year-old defensive forward has four points, 32 shots on net, 43 hits, 38 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating over 35 appearances. That lack of scoring production will keep him out of the conversation in most fantasy formats.
