  • Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Scores shorthanded goal

Luostarinen scored a shorthanded goal in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Lightning.

Luostarinen gave the Panthers a 3-1 lead in the second period, and his shortie came 42 seconds after A.J. Greer's own shorthanded goal. The 26-year-old Luostarinen has been productive in recent games and has cracked the scoresheet in three of his last four appearances, tallying two goals and a helper in that span.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Nets two goals Sunday

Reinhart finished with two goals, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Lightning.

Reinhart found the back of the net with his two shots on goal in the win. The 29-year-old winger extended his point streak to four games -- he has three goals and three helpers in that span. Reinhart is having an excellent season with the Panthers and seems to be on pace to surpass the career-high 94-point output he delivered in 2023-24.

  • Nicolas Roy C | COL

Golden Knights' Nicolas Roy: Unavailable Monday

Roy (uooer body) won't play against Anaheim on Monday, according to Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Roy will miss his third straight game and remains day-to-day ahead of Friday's road matchup versus San Jose. The 27-year-old forward may not be ready to return after the holiday break. Roy has six goals, 13 points, 26 hits and 52 shots on net through 31 appearances this season.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Keeps point streak alive

Cooley recorded a power-play goal in Sunday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Cooley found the twine for the first time since Dec. 8, when he notched a goal in a 4-2 loss to the Flyers, and the goal with the man advantage allowed the 20-year-old playmaker to extend his point streak to five contests. He has one goal and seven assists in that span.

  • Hockey Club's Barrett Hayton: Records two points Sunday

Hayton notched a goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Hayton enjoyed a strong start to the season with points in four of his first five appearances, but he's cooled down significantly since then, with only nine points over his subsequent 28 appearances. He has just four points (one goal, three assists) in nine outings in December, and this was the first time he scored a goal since Oct. 30. This is clearly a step in the right direction, but Hayton needs to be more consistent going forward to recover some of the fantasy upside he had earlier in the campaign.

  • Clayton Keller RW | UTA

Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Outsanding effort Sunday

Keller had two goals and two assists, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Keller was nearly unstoppable Sunday and contributed directly to each of the team's four goals. This performance also extended his point streak to four games, with three multi-point performances in that span. Keller is up to 35 points in 33 games this season, tallying 13 goals and 22 assists, and he could be on pace to match the career-high 86 points he recorded in the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Robby Fabbri C | MIN

Ducks' Robby Fabbri: Scores twice in shootout win

Fabbri scored two goals and took three shots in Sunday's 5-4 shootout win over Utah.

Fabbri doubled his season total with the pair of tallies Sunday, and this two-goal outing also ended a five-game stretch in which he couldn't find the back of the net. Fabbri has six points (four goals, two assists) in 19 appearances, but his bottom-six role should conspire against his fantasy upside.

  • Radek Faksa C | DAL

Blues' Radek Faksa: Won't play against Detroit

Faksa has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Red Wings after he suffered a setback with his lower-body injury, Chris Pinkert of NHL.com reports.

Faksa returned to action Saturday against the Panthers after he missed five games due to his lower-body injury, but he'll be unable to suit up for the Blues' final game before the Christmas break. Whether he'll be available Friday against Nashville remains to be seen, but Mathieu Joseph will enter the lineup in his place Monday.

  • Ben Meyers C | SEA

Kraken's Ben Meyers: Sent to minors

Meyers was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Monday.

Meyers was recalled by the Kraken on Saturday, and he recorded a blocked shot and a minus-1 rating in 8:52 of ice time during Sunday's loss to the Avalanche. The Kraken don't play again until after the NHL's Christmas break, and it's unclear whether Meyers will be back with Seattle ahead of the team's matchup against Vancouver on Saturday.

  • Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Ruled out for Monday's game

Matthews (upper body) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Jets, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Matthews recently aggravated his upper-body injury, and he'll be unavailable for a second consecutive game ahead of the league's Christmas break. He'll have several days to rest during the layoff before the Maple Leafs face the Red Wings on Friday, while Connor Dewar will likely remain in the lineup Monday.
