  • Jack McBain C | UTA

Mammoth's Jack McBain: Tallies shorthanded goal

McBain scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and added five PIM in Monday's 6-3 win over the Stars.

McBain had gone without a point over the first eight games of March. He broke a 2-2 deadlock in the third period with his shortie, which sparked a rally for the Mammoth. McBain is up to seven goals, 23 points, 99 shots on net, 242 hits, 40 blocked shots, 67 PIM and a plus-12 rating over 68 appearances in a middle-six role. He's been unlucky this year, shooting just 7.1 percent after never posting a season lower than 14.1 percent in his first three full NHL campaigns.

  • Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Nets lone goal in loss

Trocheck scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two PIM, logged four hits and went minus-2 in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Kings.

Trocheck has two goals and six assists over six games since he was scratched once for roster management. The 32-year-old is still a quality player and a leader on offense for the Rangers, where he should continue to be a multi-category threat in fantasy for the rest of the season. He has 14 goals, 47 points (15 on the power play), 93 shots on net, 154 hits, 50 PIM, 42 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating over 52 appearances.

  • Pavel Zacha C | BOS

Bruins' Pavel Zacha: Hits 20-goal mark

Zacha scored a goal and added two hits in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Devils.

Zacha has five goals and four helpers over eight outings in March. He reached the 20-goal mark for the year Monday -- it's a level he's achieved in three of his four seasons with the Bruins. The 28-year-old has 47 points (17 on the power play), 103 shots on net, 48 hits and a minus-2 rating over 64 contests. He'll set a career high in goals if he can score twice more this season.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Scores in loss to Pittsburgh

MacKinnon scored a goal in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Penguins.

MacKinnon was one of the few players who put up some kind of fight as the Avs looked completely overmatched throughout the game. This goal extended his point streak to three games, and he's tallied an impressive 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 10 appearances since the Olympic break. MacKinnon is in a tight race with Connor McDavid to see who will end the regular season as the league's leading scorer. MacKinnon has 110 points, and while McDavid is up to 114, it's worth noting the Oilers star has played three more games. On a point-per-game basis, MacKinnon leads McDavid 1.69 to 1.68.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Three points in return to lineup

Malkin had two even-strength goals and added a power-play assist in Monday's 7-2 win over the Avalanche.

Malkin was impressive in his return to the lineup after serving a five-game suspension and posted his best scoring output since Dec. 4, when he also had three points in a win over the Lightning. Malkin might not be in the prime of his career, but the 39-year-old veteran remains an impact performer for the Penguins in a top-six role. He has six points (two goals, four assists) in six games since the Olympic break.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Extends scoring streak

Johnston scored a goal on three shots while adding two hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Mammoth.

Johnston has not only found the back of the net in three straight games while cracking the scoresheet in the last four, but this goal boosted his total to 37 on the year. With 37 goals and 37 assists to his name, as well as 36 of his 74 points coming off power-play situations, he's one of the most well-rounded forwards in the league, regardless of whether it's at full strength or with the man advantage. Johnston has already established a career-high mark in goals and points, and he's one assist away from matching his personal-best output from the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Dealing with lower-body injury

Eriksson Ek won't suit up Tuesday in Chicago due to a lower-body injury and is day-to-day, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.

Even though Smith reports that Eriksson Ek is day-to-day, general manager Bill Guerin said that the Swedish center will likely miss at least three games, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic. Robby Fabbri will draw back into the lineup Tuesday, while Hunter Haight was brought up from the minors to provide depth up front as a result of Eriksson Ek's absence.

  • Wild's Hunter Haight: Brought up from Iowa

Haight was recalled from AHL Iowa on Tuesday.

Haight has not produced a point over five appearances with the Wild this season. The 2022 second-round selection, No. 47 overall, has banked 12 goals and 11 helpers over 43 appearances with the minor-league club in 2025-26. He'll provide depth for Minnesota while the team deals with a couple of injuries up front.

  • Kirby Dach C | MON

Canadiens' Kirby Dach: Set to miss time

Dach will be out for 2-4 weeks as a result of his upper-body injury.

Dach was hurt in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim. The 2019 No. 3 overall pick's season has been plagued by injuries once again, and he'll now be out of the lineup until at least the end of March. Since Dach is sidelined, Zachary Bolduc, who was a healthy scratch Sunday, will draw back into the lineup Tuesday against the Bruins in a massive divisional game. Dach has posted eight goals, 14 points, 45 shots, 43 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 32 appearances in 2025-26.

  • Morgan Frost C | CGY

Flames' Morgan Frost: Nets opening goal Monday

Frost scored a goal and recorded three shots on net in Monday's 5-2 loss to Detroit.

Frost scored the lone goal of Tuesday's opening period, giving the Flames brief momentum headed into the first intermission. With the twine finder, he is up to 15 goals, 33 points, 112 shots on net, 42 hits and 32 blocked shots across 67 games this season. Since the beginning of March, the 26-year-old center has three goals and six points over nine games. He's seen an uptick in playing time following the departure of Nazem Kadri to Colorado at the trade deadline, and Frost has made the most of his increased role. He should continue to skate as the team's No. 2 center for the time being and holds decent all-around value in deep fantasy leagues that value category coverage.
