  • Aatu Raty C | VAN

Canucks' Aatu Raty: Plucks apple in loss

Raty notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Lightning.

Raty is holding down a role on the Canucks' fourth line, though he's bounced between center and wing, sharing the spots with Max Sasson. The 22-year-old Raty is up to four points, 11 shots on net, 46 hits and a minus-2 rating over 19 appearances. He still has some long-term appeal as a prospect, but he likely won't get enough ice time to make a major impact in fantasy in 2024-25.

  • Kraken's Mitchell Stephens: Nabs helper in win

Stephens produced an assist in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.

This was Stephens' first point in five games at the NHL level. He's been effective for the Kraken, adding six shots on net, two hits and an even plus-minus rating while centering the fourth line since his call-up. Stephens has never earned more than six points or played in more than 38 games in an NHL campaign, but with Jordan Eberle (pelvis) out on a long-term basis, Stephens could stick around a while while holding a spot in the lineup over Daniel Sprong.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Sends helper in loss

Kadri recorded an assist, three shots on goal, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Stars.

Kadri continues to play fairly well with five points over his last five games. The center has added 18 shots on net and a minus-4 rating in that span. For the season, he has 17 points, 90 shots on net, 20 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-15 rating through 28 appearances. Calgary doesn't score a lot, so Kadri figures to have a rough plus-minus rating since he's playing in a large role.

  • Connor Zary C | CGY

Flames' Connor Zary: Bends twine in loss

Zary scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Stars.

Zary's tally tied the game at 2-2 late in the second period. He has a goal and an assist over his last two games to shake off a three-game slump. The 23-year-old center is up to six goals, 14 points, 57 shots on net and a minus-8 rating through 28 appearances. Zary is still working on consistency at the NHL level, but he's producing enough offense to be worth a look in deeper redraft formats while retaining plenty of value in keeper and dynasty leagues.

  • Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Scores early in loss

Huberdeau scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Stars.

A Dallas turnover went to Nazem Kadri, who set up Huberdeau's tally just one minute into the game. The goal extended Huberdeau's point streak to four games (two goals, three assists). He's now at 17 points, 46 shots on net, 23 blocked shots, 20 hits, 18 PIM and a minus-9 rating through 28 appearances. Huberdeau's showing a little consistency on offense, so he's worth a look in fantasy as long as this warm stretch lasts.

  • Matt Duchene C | DAL

Stars' Matt Duchene: Collects helper Sunday

Duchene notched an assist in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Flames.

Duchene has just two helpers over his last five games, a rather subdued start to December for the center after he had 16 points over 13 contests in November. The 33-year-old may be negatively impacted by the absence of Tyler Seguin (hip), who is out until at least April. Duchene still has the red-hot Mason Marchment on his wing, and the duo will try to develop chemistry with Logan Stankoven. Duchene is at 29 points, 46 shots on net and a plus-13 rating through 27 appearances this season.

  • Oskar Back C | DAL

Stars' Oskar Back: Provides pair of assists

Back notched two assists and went plus-2 in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Flames.

Back has contributed three helpers over his last two games. He assisted on goals by Jason Robertson and Thomas Harley in this contest. This isn't likely to be a sustained improvement on offense for Back, who is stuck in a fourth-line role. He has seven points, 15 shots on net, 12 hits and a plus-5 rating over 22 appearances, though he hasn't sat out since Nov. 11 and likely won't do so since Tyler Seguin's (hip) long-term absence means the Stars are unlikely to carry any spare forwards until Seguin moves from regular to long-term injured reserve officially.

  • Sam Steel C | DAL

Stars' Sam Steel: Tallies in Sunday's win

Steel scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Flames.

Steel was on the third line Sunday, flanked by Jamie Benn and Evgenii Dadonov while Mavrik Bourque was on the fourth line. The goal was Steel's first since Nov. 7, though he had a decent five helpers over 14 contests between goals. The 26-year-old center is a depth scorer at best, though he's one that the Stars seem to trust to fill a versatile role. This season, he has three goals, 11 points, 27 shots on net, 27 hits and a minus-3 rating over 26 appearances.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Pots shorthanded goal

Johnston scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Flames.

Johnston's goal came on a turnover by the Flames at their own blue line just after a 4-on-4 situation turned into a Calgary power play. Johnston stole the puck off Nazem Kadri, then danced around Rasmus Andersson to put the Stars on the board at 4:26 of the first period. With four goals and six assists over his last 10 games, Johnston is finding consistency in a top-line role once again. He's up to six tallies, 17 points, 72 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over 27 appearances this season.

  • Pius Suter C | STL

Canucks' Pius Suter: Tracking toward career year

Suter posted an assist Sunday in a 4-2 loss to the Lightning.

Suter registered the primary helper on Quinn Hughes' seventh goal of the season to open the scoring Sunday. The forward has been held off the scoresheet on only one occasion over his last seven games, which has helped fill the void of J.T. Miller (personal) being away from the team. Suter's on his way to surpassing his career high of 36 points, with 11 goals and 17 points through 25 games this season. The Swiss center trails only Jake DeBrusk (12) for the team lead in goals.
