  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

    Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Deposits empty-netter

Reinhart scored an empty-net goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Reinhart scored for the second game in a row, stretching the Panthers' lead to 4-1 late in the third period. The 30-year-old is up to 26 goals, 50 points, 132 shots on net, 49 hits, 31 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 51 appearances. He's hovering just under a point-per-game pace, so he's still within range of matching his totals of 39 goals and 81 points from 79 regular-season contests in 2024-25.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Goal, assist in win

Verhaeghe scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Verhaeghe put the Panthers ahead 3-1 at 7:24 of the third period, and he also set up Tobias Bjornfot's second tally of the game to close out the scoring in the final minute. This was Verhaeghe's fifth multi-point effort over the last eight games, a span in which he has three goals and eight assists. The 30-year-old forward is up to 15 goals, 40 points, 111 shots on net, 48 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 50 outings this season. Verhaeghe's offense has been strong lately, making him a reliable option in fantasy.

  • Canucks' Teddy Blueger: Pots third goal

Blueger scored a goal on three shots and added five hits in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Penguins.

Blueger has scored in consecutive contests. The 31-year-old center is up to three goals through five games this season, and he's added 10 shots on net, 15 hits and a minus-1 rating. It's tough to envision Blueger keeping up a steady scoring pace for the rest of the campaign, but his category coverage can help fantasy managers in deep formats.

  • Penguins' Ben Kindel: Scores twice in Sunday's win

Kindel scored two goals on five shots in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Canucks.

Kindel ended a 19-game goal drought in a big way. He had the Penguins' second and third tallies, and his second goal stood as the game-winner after the Canucks' comeback effort fell short. Kindel is up to 10 goals, 22 points, 97 shots on net, 42 blocked shots, 20 hits and a minus-10 rating over 48 appearances. He's still in a third-line role, but the 18-year-old has already shown some promise as a rookie.

  • Ty Mueller C | VAN

Canucks' Ty Mueller: Three points in AHL win

Mueller scored twice and added an assist in AHL Abbotsford's 4-0 win over San Diego on Sunday.

Mueller has three goals and three assists over his last four games. For the season, he's up to eight goals, 19 points, 58 shots on net and a minus-14 rating over 37 appearances. Mueller has 101 AHL games to his name, and the 22-year-old looks to still need some development time before competing for NHL minutes.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Sustains apparent injury Sunday

Malkin (undisclosed) suffered an apparent injury at the end of Sunday's 3-2 win in Vancouver, and there was no update on his status after the game, according to Josh Yohe of The Athletic.

Per Yohe, Malkin looked to be grabbing his shoulder on the bench at the end of the game. The veteran forward opened the scoring during Sunday's victory with an even-strength goal and went plus-1 in 16:01 of ice time. Malkin returned to the lineup Jan. 8 after missing 15 games due to an upper-body issue, but it's currently unclear if this latest injury is related to his previous one. Pittsburgh's next game is at home Thursday versus the Blackhawks.

  • Senators' Stephen Halliday: Exits Sunday's game with injury

Halliday exited Sunday's game against the Golden Knights in the third period due to an unspecified injury, Murray Pam of HockeyHotStove.com reports.

Halliday took a hard hit near the bench in the third period of Sunday's matchup and was unable to return down the stretch. Head coach Travis Green didn't provide an update on Halliday's status after the matchup, but Brady Tkachuk said, "He feels good, feels okay. So hopefully it's nothing too severe." Halliday put forth a strong performance prior to his departure, recording two goals, an assist, a hit and a blocked shot in 7:39 of ice time.

  • Brock Nelson C | COL

Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Hat trick in Sunday's win

Nelson scored three goals, one the game-winner, in Sunday's 4-1 victory over Toronto.

The veteran center struck twice in 72 seconds midway through the first period to give the Avalanche a 2-0 lead, and Nelson then provided an insurance tally in the third with an empty-netter to complete his fifth career hat trick. Nelson's been on fire in January, racking up 11 goals and 15 points in 11 games to put himself on track for his first career 40-goal campaign.

  • Sharks' Philipp Kurashev: Set to travel with team

Kurashev (upper body) will accompany the Sharks on the team's upcoming five-game road trip, according to Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now on Sunday.

Kurashev participated in Sunday's practice and could play near the end of San Jose's trip, which begins against Vancouver on Tuesday and ends against Colorado on Feb. 4. He has missed the last 17 games and remains on injured reserve. Kurashev has registered six goals, 15 points, 49 shots on net and 30 hits in 31 appearances this season.

  • Andrew Copp C | DET

Red Wings' Andrew Copp: Dishes pair of assists

Copp notched two assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Jets.

Copp helped out on J.T. Compher's tying goal in the second period and Alex DeBrincat's empty-netter in the third. While Copp has gone six games without a goal of his own, he has four assists in that span. The 31-year-old is up to 32 points, 78 shots on net, 39 blocked shots, 31 hits and a minus-1 rating over 53 appearances. If he can earn 11 more points, he'll secure his best year as a Red Wing since joining the team ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
