  • Ducks' Ryan Poehling: Scores in Thursday's loss

Poehling scored a goal and blocked four shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

Poehling ended an eight-game goal drought, a span in which he picked up just two assists. The 27-year-old continues to see mainly bottom-six minutes as a defensive center. He's up to three goals, 15 points, 36 shots on net, 45 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across 37 contests this season, his first with the Ducks.

  • Ducks' Mikael Granlund: Deposits goal in loss

Granlund scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

Granlund had been limited to one assist over his previous six contests. The 33-year-old forward continues to play a key depth role for the Ducks, acting as a veteran who can move up in the lineup whenever necessary. He's at 17 points, 51 shots on net and a minus-10 rating through 26 outings this season.

  • Noah Laba C | NYR

Rangers' Noah Laba: Game-time call for Saturday

Laba (upper body) is expected to be a game-time decision Saturday in Boston, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic.

Laba fully participated in Friday's practice, but head coach Mike Sullivan is waiting to see how the 22-year-old forward's body responds before making a final decision. If Laba does play Saturday, it will probably be as a member of the third line alongside Gabe Perreault and Taylor Raddysh.

  • Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Nets goal in Thursday's win

Jankowski scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Jankowski was scratched Tuesday versus the Stars but drew back in for Noah Philp (concussion). The 31-year-old Jankowski continues to fill a fourth-line role when he's in the lineup, which is far from guaranteed to happen every game. He's at three goals, seven points, 32 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and 21 hits over 32 appearances this season.

  • Capitals' Aliaksei Protas: Game-time decision Friday

Protas (lower body) will be a game-time decision in Chicago on Friday, per Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post.

Protas was on a hot streak before his injury, tallying four goals and five assists in a five-game scoring streak. Overall, Protas has 16 goals and 15 assists with a plus-21 rating over 41 games this season.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: In action Friday

Bedard (shoulder) will be in the lineup for Friday's clash with Washington, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.

Bedard returns to the lineup following a 12-game stint on injured reserve due to his shoulder problem. Prior to getting hurt, the 20-year-old center was rolling offensively with 28 points in his last 18 outings, including nine multi-point outings. With his injury concerns behind him, Bedard figures to reclaim his spot on the top line as well as the No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Maple Leafs' Jacob Quillan: Shipped down to minors

Quillan was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Friday.

Quillan has played in just three NHL games this season in which he failed to generate a point. In those appearances, the 23-year-old center did manage one shot, seven hits and a plus-2 rating while averaging 8:06 of ice time. While this is unlikely to be Quillan's last call-up to the NHL roster, he is unlikely to play enough to have a significant fantasy impact.

  • Ryan McLeod C | BUF

Sabres' Ryan McLeod: Two points on Broadway

McLeod produced an even-strength goal and a shorthanded assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Both points came in the third period as the Sabres pulled away. McLeod has been very productive over the last month, racking up four goals and 11 points in the last 13 games as he looks to match or exceed last season's career-best 20 goals and 53 points in 79 contests.

  • Penguins' Blake Lizotte: Solid play continues with goal

Lizotte scored a goal and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over New Jersey.

Lizotte placed the finishing touches on a big win with his goal over the halfway point in the third period. Since his return to the lineup from an upper-body injury, he has two goals and five points in six games. Overall, the 28-year-old forward is up to five goals, 10 points, 35 shots on net and 31 hits through 33 games this season. While he struggled to build traction offensively in the first half of the season, his recent surge during the Penguins' win streak gives him decent streaming value in deep fantasy leagues that value category coverage.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Tallies two assists Thursday

Crosby dished out two assists, including one on the power play, and recorded two hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over New Jersey.

Crosby picked up a secondary helper on Erik Karlsson's opening goal before setting up Evgeni Malkin for a power-play score in his return to the lineup. With the pair of apples, Crosby is up to 25 assists, 49 points, 100 shots on net and 37 hits through 42 games this season. Sid the Kid hasn't shown any signs of aging over his eight-game point streak, during which he has five goals and 14 points. The 38-year-old center is only set to benefit further with Malkin's return to the lineup, which should help Crosby produce more consistently with the man advantage moving forward. He remains on pace to finish the season with 90-plus points for the fourth consecutive year.
