  • Luca Pinelli C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Luca Pinelli: Racks up trio of assists in AHL win

Pinelli logged three assists in AHL Cleveland's 7-6 overtime win over Chicago on Thursday.

Pinelli has gone 11 games without a goal but has earned seven helpers over his last seven outings. The 20-year-old forward is up to nine goals, 18 helpers, 82 shots on net, 30 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 34 appearances this season. He got a taste of NHL action earlier in 2025-26, but the Blue Jackets will likely be happy to let him continue developing in the AHL for at least the rest of this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Owen Sillinger: Pots two more goals in AHL

Sillinger scored twice in AHL Cleveland's 7-6 overtime win over Chicago on Thursday.

Sillinger has seven goals this season, with five of them coming over the last seven contests. His second two-goal effort in the last three games puts him at seven goals and 18 points through 35 outings overall. He made his NHL debut in 2024-25, but the 28-year-old forward would need to do a lot more to become an option for the Blue Jackets.

  • Ryan Suzuki C | CAR

Hurricanes' Ryan Suzuki: Contributes three helpers

Suzuki logged three assists in AHL Chicago's 7-6 overtime loss to Cleveland on Thursday.

Suzuki has four goals and eight assists during a seven-game point streak. That surge has him up to 30 points in 36 outings this season, though he continues to be heavy on playmaking for the second year in a row. The 24-year-old center hasn't been able to turn AHL success into a long look with the Hurricanes yet.

  • Hurricanes' Justin Robidas: Four points in overtime loss

Robidas scored a goal and added three assists in AHL Chicago's 7-6 overtime loss to Cleveland on Thursday.

Robidas has a pair of four-point efforts during a six-game point streak. He's earned seven goals and seven helpers during the streak, putting him at 20 goals and 19 assists through 35 appearances overall. With the Wolves getting into some recent high-scoring battles, Robidas is likely to remain heavily involved in the offense.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Returning to action

Draisaitl (personal) will be back in the lineup for Thursday's home matchup versus the Penguins, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Following a three-game absence, Draisaitl will be back in action and center the second line between Vasily Podkolzin and Jack Roslovic on Thursday. Due to Draisaitl's return, Alec Regula will come out of the lineup, giving the Oilers a normal configuration of 12 forwards and six defensemen. Draisaitl will also reclaim his usual role on the No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Ben Meyers C | SEA

Kraken's Ben Meyers: Lands on IR

Meyers was placed on injured reserve Thursday and is out week-to-week due to a lower-body injury.

Jacob Melanson was recalled from AHL Coachella Valley as a result of Meyers landing on injured reserve. The 27-year-old Meyers will now be forced to miss at least the next three games. The Minnesota native's first opportunity to get back into the lineup will be Jan. 29 against Toronto.

  • Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson: Late scratch Thursday

Dickinson (illness) will miss Thursday's game against Carolina, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Dickinson has six goals, 10 points, eight PIM, 41 hits and 27 blocks in 36 outings in 2025-26. Colton Dach was originally projected to be a healthy scratch due to Andre Burakovsky's (illness) return, but Dickinson's absence is slated to keep Dach in the lineup.

  • Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Activated by Minnesota

Eriksson Ek (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Thursday, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports.

Eriksson Ek was considered a game-time decision ahead of Thursday's matchup against Detroit, and he'll be able to suit up following his six-game absence due to a lower-body injury. Over 45 appearances this year, he's recorded 11 goals, 21 assists, 68 hits, 20 PIM and 19 blocked shots while averaging 19:34 of ice time.

  • Filip Chytil C | VAN

Canucks' Filip Chytil: Game-time decision versus Devils

Chytil (upper body) will be a game-time call against New Jersey on Friday after head coach Adam Foote told reporters, "It looks promising," Randip Janda of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Chytil hasn't played since Oct. 19 versus the Capitals due to his upper-body injury, spending the last 44 games on injured reserve. Injuries have plagued the Czech center over the last few years, limiting him to just 72 regular-season appearances over the previous three seasons. At this point, the 26-year-old Chytil is unlikely to reach the 10-goal or 20-point thresholds this year, given his lengthy absence.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Will travel with team

Kopitar (lower body) didn't skate with the Kings on Thursday, but he will join the team for their upcoming six-game road trip, Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period reports.

Given that Kopitar isn't skating with the team yet, he probably won't be ready to return when the road trip starts Saturday in St. Louis, but he might be an option later in the trip. He hasn't been in the lineup since Jan. 5. Kopitar has six goals and 21 points in 37 outings in 2025-26.
