  • Lightning's Zemgus Girgensons: Gets first goal in 19 games

Girgensons scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-2 win over Colorado.

It was his first goal in 19 games. Girgensons has just six goals, two assists and 98 hits in 35 games. He leads the Bolts in hits and has put up hits in all but one of those games. Girgensons plays an important on-ice role in the Bolts' bottom six, but his fantasy value is limited.

  • Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Three-game, five-point streak

Guentzel scored a power-play goal in a 4-2 win over Colorado on Tuesday.

Guentzel is on a three-game, five-point scoring streak (one goal, four assists), and he has put up a power-play point in each of those games (one goal, two assists). He sits second in team scoring with 44 points (19 goals, 25 assists) in 42 games, which puts him on pace for a potential 86-point season. That would be a career mark for Guentzel, whose best year came in Pittsburgh in 2021-22.

  • Noah Philp C | CAR

Hurricanes' Noah Philp: Gets dinged up Tuesday

Philp sustained an undisclosed injury Tuesday versus the Stars, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.

Philp was reportedly dinged up in the second period and couldn't finish the contest. The 27-year-old forward was in just his second game for the Hurricanes since they claimed him off waivers from the Oilers. Philp can be considered day-to-day leading up to Thursday's game versus the Ducks.

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Still sidelined

Marchessault (lower body) will not return to the lineup Tuesday versus the Oilers, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Marchessault's recovery from the injury appears to have stalled out. This will be his ninth straight absence, and it's not yet clear when he'll be able to get back in the lineup.

  • Sharks' Adam Gaudette: Still sidelined Tuesday

Gaudette (lower body) will not be in the lineup versus the Blue Jackets on Tuesday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Gaudette will be sidelined for his third straight game due to his lingering lower-body injury. In his last five outings, the 29-year-old center notched one goal, three assists and nine shots, including a pair of power-play points. Even once back to 100 percent, Gaudette is far from a lock for the lineup on a nightly basis and may have to periodically serve as a healthy scratch. Considering the Sharks are heading into a back-to-back, Gaudette should be considered questionable, at best, to face Los Angeles on Wednesday.

  • Sean Monahan C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Set to return Tuesday

Monahan (undisclosed) is expected to rejoin the lineup versus San Jose on Tuesday, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Monahan will be back in the lineup following a four-game stint on the shelf due to his undisclosed injury. The veteran center is currently stuck in an 11-game goal drought during which he managed a paltry 12 shots. Still, Monahan did chip in six helpers over that stretch, including three with the man advantage.

  • Sharks' Michael Misa: Back in NHL

Misa (not injury related) was recalled to the active roster Tuesday after playing for Canada at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship.

The Sharks moved Shakir Mukhamadullin (upper body) to injured reserve in a corresponding move. Misa had two goals and seven points in seven games at the tournament en route to capturing the bronze medal. He has provided one goal, two assists, 13 shots on net and five blocked shots in seven NHL outings this season.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Set to be scratched

Kozak (upper body) is expected to be a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against Vancouver, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

Kozak has missed the last seven games due to injury, but he appears to be healthy enough to return after being removed from the team's injury list. Kozak has collected two goals, four points, 19 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and 62 hits in 24 appearances this season.

  • John Beecher C | CGY

Flames' John Beecher: Moves to IR

Beecher (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL media site.

Beecher is week-to-week due to the injury. He missed Monday's 5-1 loss to Seattle after receiving a one-game suspension for roughing Nashville's Michael McCarron on Saturday. However, he is facing an extended absence after getting injured in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Predators. Beecher has one goal, two assists, 21 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and 18 hits in 25 games between the Flames and Bruins this season.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Not expected to be out long term

Kopitar (lower body) is day-to-day, per Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period on Tuesday.

Kopitar sustained his lower-body injury Monday against the Wild and was ruled out by the team during the middle frame. The Kings play Wednesday at home versus San Jose, and the team will likely not rush Kopitar back into the lineup if he's anything less than 100 percent healthy, given that he's 38 years old. The Kings are already thin up the middle, so a center may be recalled from AHL Ontario if Kopitar is unable to suit up Wednesday.
