  • Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Three-point effort in win

Coyle produced a goal and two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-3 win over the Devils.

The veteran center's tally early in the third period put the Blue Jackets in the lead for good after they'd fallen into an early 2-0 hole. Coyle was acquired from the Avs this offseason to fill a checking role, but he's been a surprising offensive contributor as well, and over the last 10 games, he's delivered two goals and nine points thanks to a pair of three-point performances.

  • Kings' Nikita Alexandrov: Involved in minor-league swap

Alexandrov was brought in by the Kings from the Blues on Tuesday in exchange for Akil Thomas.

Alexandrov has been putting up decent numbers with AHL Springfield this season, notching 14 points in 18 minor-league contests. It's a slightly strange move when you consider both players are doing well in the minors -- Thomas has 13 points in 19 games -- and are 25-year-old centers who will be unrestricted free agents at the end of the season. Look for Alexandrov to link up with AHL Ontario for the start of his time in the organization.

  • Akil Thomas C | STL

Blues' Akil Thomas: Flipped in trade

Thomas was acquired by the Blues from the Kings on Tuesday in exchange for Nikita Alexandrov.

Neither center seemed to be close to earning a call-up to their respective NHL squads, so this trade could benefit both Thomas and Alexandrov with fresh starts in new organizations. Both players will be free agents at the end of the 2025-26 campaign and have been putting up decent numbers in the minors -- four goals and nine helpers in 19 games with AHL Ontario for Thomas. Expect the 25-year-old Thomas to report to AHL Springfield in the coming days.

  • Sharks' Adam Gaudette: Available against Utah

Gaudette (illness) will suit up for Monday's matchup versus the Mammoth, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Gaudette will avoid missing Monday's game after being deemed a game-time decision earlier in the day due to an illness. The right-shot forward is set to skate in a second-line role with William Eklund and Alexander Wennberg. Gaudette has found the scoresheet in back-to-back contests following a three-game skid.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Avoids missing first game of season

Cooley (lower body) is in the lineup for Monday's game in San Jose.

Cooley was deemed a game-time call heading into Monday's road matchup, but he'll avoid missing his first game of the 2025-26 campaign. The rising star was unable to put weight on his left leg after a collision during Saturday's game against St. Louis, so his injury was seemingly a stinger more than anything overly serious. Cooley will center the second line between Nick Schmaltz and Dylan Guenther on Monday, and he'll likely skate on the No. 1 power-play unit as well.

  • Adam Edstrom C | NYR

    Rangers' Adam Edstrom: Labeled day-to-day

Edstrom (lower body) is day-to-day, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports Monday.

Edstrom was hurt during practice earlier Monday, and considering he's now labeled day-to-day, it seems unlikely the Swedish forward will be available for Tuesday's home game versus the Stars. Brennan Othmann was recalled from AHL Hartford on Monday because of Edstrom's injury and Taylor Raddysh (personal) potentially being unavailable against Dallas.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

    Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Game-time decision

Cooley (lower body) will be a game-time decision against the Sharks on Monday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Cooley was hurt in Saturday's 1-0 loss to St. Louis but could avoid missing additional action. He was a full participant in Monday's morning skate, which bodes well for his availability. Cooley has compiled 14 goals, 23 points, 53 shots on net and 29 hits through 26 games this season.

  • Panthers' Jack Studnicka: Summoned from AHL

Studnicka was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Monday.

Studnicka has contributed one goal and five assists in eight minor-league appearances this season. He will be an option for Tuesday's game against Toronto, but it's unclear if he will be in the lineup.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: No timeline for return

Point (undisclosed) doesn't have a timetable for his return to the lineup, according to Lightning reporter Gabby Shirley on Monday.

Point has already missed the last four games, and a return to action doesn't appear to be imminent. He has compiled three goals, 11 points and 44 shots on net through 21 appearances this season. Nick Paul has been occupying a top-six role due to Point's absence.

  • Sharks' Adam Gaudette: Game-time call Monday

Gaudette is under the weather and will be a game-time call versus Utah on Monday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Gaudette ended November on a high note, registering two goals and one helper in his last six outings. The 29-year-old center will likely be replaced in the lineup by Zack Ostapchuk if he can't play against the Mammoth -- though it's Collin Graf who could see the biggest uptick in ice time.
