  • Senators' Garrett Pilon: Three assists in Sunday's loss

Pilon registered three assists in AHL Belleville's 6-4 loss to Providence on Sunday.

Pilon, who is captaining Belleville this season, had gone five games without a point prior to Sunday. The AHL veteran has a goal and eight helpers through 15 appearances this season. He has yet to record a 50-point campaign in the AHL, and Pilon hasn't seen NHL action since the 2021-22 campaign, which makes it unlikely he'll see a call-up for the Senators this year.

  • Ridly Greig C | OTT

Senators' Ridly Greig: Set to play

Greig (undisclosed) is slated to play against Dallas on Sunday.

After missing the last five games, Greig will occupy a fourth-line role against the Stars on Sunday. He has provided two goals, six assists, 30 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and 25 hits across 19 appearances this season. With Greig ready to return, Hayden Hodgson will be a healthy scratch.

  • Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Will play Sunday

Teravainen (undisclosed) took warmups and will play Sunday against the Ducks, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Teravainen didn't take part in Saturday's practice and his status for Sunday was in doubt, but he will suit up against the Ducks. The 31-year-old has six goals and 10 assists in 24 games this season with the Blackhawks. He'll skate in a top-six winger spot on a line with Frank Nazar and Tyler Bertuzzi.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Slated to return

Staal (illness) is set to return to the lineup Sunday against the Flames, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Staal has missed the last three games, marking his first three absences of the season. Prior to his departure from the lineup, the 37-year-old had four goals in the last three games and seven goals through 21 games overall. Staal will likely center Carolina's third line Sunday against the Flames.

  • Tristan Broz C | PIT

Penguins' Tristan Broz: Sent back to AHL

Broz was re-assigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by the Penguins, the team announced Sunday.

Broz made his NHL debut Nov. 26 during his stint with the Penguins, recording two shots on goal in 11:30 of ice time. He'll head back to the AHL along with Danton Heinen, which likely means that the Penguins expect to get back one of their injured forwards. The 23-year-old Broz has 13 points (eight goals, five assists) in 18 games at the AHL level.

  • Danton Heinen LW | CLB

Penguins' Danton Heinen: Assigned to AHL

Heinen was loaned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.

Heinen has contributed one assist, 10 shots on net, seven blocked shots and eight hits in nine NHL appearances this season. He also has five goals and 14 points in 10 AHL outings during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Bruins' Georgi Merkulov: Sent back to minors

Merkulov was assigned to AHL Providence on Sunday.

Merkulov was a healthy scratch in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over Detroit after logging 10:35 of ice time in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers. He has produced six goals and 14 points in 17 minor-league appearances this season.

  • Boone Jenner C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Closer to return

Jenner (upper body) practiced Sunday and is "close" to a return, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports Sunday.

The team wants Jenner to get a few more skates in before inserting him back into the lineup. The 32-year-old has missed the last nine games with an upper-body injury. He was off to a good start before departing the lineup, registering three goals and seven assists in 16 games.

  • Devils' Dawson Mercer: Two-point effort in loss

Mercer delivered an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Flyers.

Both points came later in the game as the Devils tried to rally from a 4-1 deficit, but they couldn't find an equalizer. Mercer has begun to heat up at the end of November, producing a goal and four points in the last four games. The 24-year-old center has 10 goals and 20 points in 25 contests as he steams toward a career-best campaign.

  • Stars' Chase Wheatcroft: Makes AHL season debut

Wheatcroft (wrist) was activated from non-roster injured reserve and assigned to AHL Texas on Friday.

After recovering from a wrist injury, he made his season debut with AHL Texas in Saturday's 5-3 win over Coachella Valley. He posted one shot on net and a minus-2 rating in the contest. Wheatcroft had 10 goals and 27 points across 67 AHL regular-season outings in 2024-25.
