Malkin (upper body) won't play Saturday against Dallas.

Malkin is set to miss his third consecutive game. Pittsburgh still considers Malkin to be day-to-day, so a return Monday versus the Islanders hasn't been ruled out. Malkin has 15 goals and 52 points in 50 outings in 2025-26.

  • Rangers' Juuso Parssinen: Heads to AHL

Parssinen was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Saturday.

Parssinen's reassignment comes after he was a healthy scratch in New York's past two games. He has two goals and three points in 20 games with the Rangers in 2025-26. He also has five goals and six points in 11 appearances with Hartford this season.

Laba (lower body) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's clash with Florida, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

  • Nick Paul C | TB

Lightning's Nick Paul: Not available Saturday

Paul (illness) has been ruled out of Saturday's home tilt versus Ottawa, per Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times.

Paul has been slumping offensively, tallying one goal and one assist in his last 17 games. He also missed 11 outings during that stretch due to a lower-body injury that put him on long-term injured reserve. Overall, Paul has six goals and seven assists over 41 appearances this season.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Back in action Saturday

Thomas (upper body) will be in the lineup Saturday against Toronto, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.

Thomas sat out Thursday's clash against San Jose after he was hit in Washington by Pierre-Luc Dubois. Thomas has 16 goals, 30 assists and 81 shots on goal over 53 contests this season.

  • Sam Bennett C | FLA

    Panthers' Sam Bennett: Unavailable Saturday

Bennett (personal) won't play against the Islanders on Saturday, according to Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site.

Bennett will miss at least one game, but it's unclear if he will be ready to play against the Rangers on Sunday. He has produced 25 goals, 54 points, 180 shots on net, 112 hits and 76 PIM across 70 appearances this campaign. After being recalled from AHL Charlotte on Saturday, Jack Studnicka could replace Bennett in the lineup against the Islanders.

  • Panthers' Jack Studnicka: Summoned from AHL

Studnicka was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Saturday.

Studnicka hasn't earned a point in 18 NHL outings this season while posting 16 shots on goal, six blocked shots and 19 hits. He has eight goals and 14 assists in 34 AHL appearances during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Canucks' Braeden Cootes: Three points in playoff opener

Cootes scored twice and added an assist in WHL Prince Albert's 4-1 win over Red Deer in Game 1 on Friday.

Cootes had eight points in six playoff games last year with WHL Seattle. He's earned 63 points over 45 regular-season appearances in the WHL, including 40 points in 28 contests with Prince Albert after a trade from the Thunderbirds. The Raiders are poised to make a deep run, and Cootes will likely be a leader on offense during the postseason.

  • Brady Martin C | NSH

Predators' Brady Martin: Three assists in Greyhounds' win

Martin registered three assists in OHL Sault Ste. Marie's 4-1 win over London in Game 1 on Friday.

Martin posted 24 points over 24 regular-season contests for the Greyhound this year, which was interrupted by a two-month absence. In his junior career, he had six points over 16 playoff outings over the previous two seasons. He's poised to do much better this year, assuming the Greyhounds can make a good run.
