  • Blue Jackets' Brendan Gaunce: Posts assist in second game

Gaunce recorded an assist, three shots on goal, three hits and two PIM in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Capitals.

Gaunce was playing in just his second game since he was called up Friday. The 31-year-old forward figures to have a chance at steady bottom-six minutes while Boone Jenner (upper body) is out of the lineup. Gaunce has never posted more than seven points in an NHL season, so most fantasy managers don't need to keep close tabs on his production.

  • Andrew Copp C | DET

Red Wings' Andrew Copp: Snags helper Monday

Copp logged a power-play assist in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Devils.

Copp has chipped in a little bit this season, but he hasn't scored since Oct. 11 versus the Maple Leafs. The 31-year-old center has four assists over 11 outings in November, giving him nine points, 26 shots on net, 22 blocked shots, 14 hits and a minus-9 rating through 23 appearances this season. Consistency on offense will be hard to find in a bottom-six role, but Copp is still seeing ice time in all situations.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Joining road trip

Miller (upper body) will be with the Rangers for their two-game road trip that kicks off against the Hurricanes on Wednesday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

Miller has managed just six goals in 22 games this season, which has him on pace to just barely get over the 20-goal threshold this year. Not exactly the 30-goal producer the Rangers were hoping for when they brought him back from Vancouver last year.

  • Wild's Vinnie Hinostroza: Set for extended absence

Head coach John Hynes said Tuesday that Hinostroza's lower-body injury will sideline him for 4-6 weeks, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic.

Hinostroza was placed on injured reserve Monday, and this latest update indicates that the 31-year-old will be out of the lineup until at least sometime in late December. The Wild are dealing with multiple injuries up front, so their top players will need to continue carrying the load, but that also means depth players will receive consistent opportunities going forward.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Expected to be available Saturday

Head coach Kris Knoblauch announced Tuesday that Nugent-Hopkins (undisclosed) is expected to return to the lineup Saturday in Seattle, per Tom Gazzola of Edmonton Sports Talk.

Nugent-Hopkins has missed eight consecutive games due to his undisclosed injury. The left-shot forward will remain sidelined Tuesday against the Stars, but his impending return to the lineup should provide a major spark for a struggling Oilers squad. Nugent-Hopkins has posted five goals, 11 helpers, 23 shots on goal and a minus-11 rating while averaging 18:49 of ice time over 16 appearances this season.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Game-time call Wednesday

Staal (illness) remains questionable to play in Wednesday's clash with the Rangers, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Staal was absent from practice again Tuesday, raising doubts regarding his availability versus New York. Prior to falling ill, the veteran center was just starting to find his scoring touch, netting four goals in his last four outings. Once given the all-clear, Staal should slot into his traditional third-line center role, which would allow the Canes to deploy a full 12 forwards.

  • Dylan Larkin C | DET

Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Scores and brawls Monday

Larkin tallied a goal, recorded four shots and picked up 12 PIM in Monday's 4-3 loss to New Jersey.

Larkin tallied the lone goal of the third period to help bring Detroit within striking distance. He was then struck with a game misconduct at the end of regulation for his involvement in a brawl with New Jersey's Jesper Bratt. Overall, Larkin is up to 13 goals, 25 points and 78 shots on goal through 23 games this season. The 29-year-old center's point total puts him in an eight-way tie for 18th in the league's scoring race. He's one of the offensive threats that gives the Red Wings a real shot at making the postseason if he can continue to produce at a high level. Larkin is currently on pace to set a new career high in points if he can surpass the 73 tallies he had in 76 regular-season games during the 2018-19 season.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Won't be an option Wednesday

Norris (upper body) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup in Pittsburgh, but he might be an option for games against the Devils and Wild on Friday and Saturday, respectively, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.

Norris skated on a line with Zach Benson and Noah Ostlund during Tuesday's practice, so it looks like he's closing in on a return to game action. The 26-year-old Norris' eventual addition to the lineup will be a big boost for the Sabres, who have played much better of late. Norris has been sidelined for all but one of the team's games in 2025-26.

  • Blue Jackets' Mathieu Olivier: Having injury looked at Tuesday

Olivier's upper-body injury will be assessed by the team's medical staff Tuesday, according to Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Olivier seemed to be injured during Monday's loss to the Capitals after a puck battle in the corner -- he went to the bench slowly and then to the locker room, per Svoboda. The right-shot winger will be evaluated Tuesday, and the team will see where he's at ahead of Wednesday's home matchup versus the Maple Leafs. Olivier has accounted for three goals, nine points, 71 hits, 29 shots on goal, 44 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 23 appearances this season.

  • Cody Glass C | NJ

Devils' Cody Glass: Lights the lamp in return

Glass scored a goal and blocked a shot in Monday's 4-3 win over the Red Wings.

Glass found the back of the net with less than one minute to go in the first, capping off a three-goal effort from New Jersey in the opening period. Overall, the 26-year-old center has four goals and 20 shots on net through 11 games this season. Monday's game was his first since sustaining an upper-body injury, and he didn't miss a beat in getting involved offensively. The stint on IR was Glass' second of the season, which makes him a risky long-term stash in fantasy. When he is healthy, however, he offers decent goal-scoring numbers and could provide fantasy value in deep leagues if he begins to find his footing as a playmaker this season.
